Courtney Love and Gwyneth PaltrowGwyneth Paltrow helped Courtney Love overcome a prescription drug addiction.

The Hole rocker - who previously battled heroin addiction - admits she struggled with using ADHD medication Adderall in 2011 when she was experiencing problems with her daughter Frances, and will always be grateful to the Iron Man 3 actress for offering help.

Gwyneth intervened after Courtney sent a string of "crazy" unintelligible emails to her pals and the "Malibu" hitmaker says that was what she needed to make her see she needed to stop taking the drug. "I was a mess. I needed to get off it. Some crazy psychiatrist told me I needed it and I was writing all these crazy long emails and no one could understand what I was on about. I was alienating my friends. Gwyneth believed in me, she is a stalwart and I sent her a crazy email and all I got back was, 'Are you OK for cash and lawyers?' I didn't answer for three days and that was when I kicked Adderall," she told Grazia.

Selena GomezSelena Gomez left rehab four weeks early.

The "Come & Get It" hitmaker checked into The Meadows in Arizona last month and spent two weeks having treatment before departing the facility, but it has now been revealed she had been enrolled in the six-week long DAWN program and staff at the clinic advised her to see out the whole course of treatment.

Selena - who was reportedly being treated for alcohol, marijuana and prescription drug Ambien use - checked out to attend the Sundance Film Festival in Utah to promote her movie Rudderless and told her advisers she would return to the clinic afterwards. However, according to website TMZ, she then decided she was "cured" and had no reason to return.

The 21-year-old star - whose on/off relationship with Justin Bieber is said to have contributed to her problems - felt completing the initial "survivor's week" was enough as that is regarded as the hardest part of the program.

No Adderall for Lindsay Lohan in Rehab

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Drugs, Rumors,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan will not be allowed Adderall during her time in rehab.

The 26-year-old actress has reportedly said she will only enter a court ordered treatment facility if she is allowed to have the prescription drug - used to treat Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder - but a source at Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, New York, where she has chosen to check in to, insists they don't allow it.

"We are suspicious of Adderall because of its many abuses - lots of people say they take it for ADHD, when they're really using it for weight loss and getting high," an insider said.

While the facility tries to get patients off Adderall and uses other drugs to treat ADHD instead, Lindsay has told friends she has tried other medications but none have worked.

Richie Sambora with his daughter AvaBon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora says his daughter was his motivation to get sober. The rock icon has admitted that 15-year-old Ava - his child with ex-wife Heather Locklear - was a "big part" of his decision to go to rehab to be treated for alcoholism for a second time last year.

"She (Ava) was like an angel to me, man ... that was the catalyst for me actually getting sober," he told Classic Rock. The 53-year-old musician continued, "Luckily I wasn't that guy who lost his band, his family, his house and his job. I wasn't a victim."

His first spell in rehab was in 2007, after the death of his father Adam and amidst the breakdown of his marriage to actress Heather. Richie blames being in a rock band for his substance abuse problems, which included heavy drinking and eventually a reliance on painkillers.

"I was in a rock 'n' roll band! Drinking was a badge of honor," he explained.

I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother," said the teenager, who has been estranged from her only parent for a few years.

Whitney Houston Died of Accidental Drowning and Cocaine Use

Whitney HoustonWhitney Houston died of accidental drowning due to the effects of heart disease and cocaine use.

The 48-year-old singer was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills hotel room in February and now the Los Angeles County Coroner has released her official cause of death. Cocaine was found in her system as were traces of marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl although they did not contribute to her tragic passing.

A source connected to the investigation told gossip website TMZ, it is "very possible" Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.

The coroner also noted that neither foul play nor trauma factored into her demise. A final report is expected to be ready for release within two weeks.

Whitney was found dead in the bathtub and several pills were found on the scene including Xanax, Ibuprofen, and Midol. However, investigators found no evidence of cocaine in the hotel room.

Gerard ButlerGerard Butler is in rehab.

The Bounty Hunter star is currently at the Betty Ford Center in California, where he is receiving treatment for substance abuse. According to TMZ.com, Gerard entered the facility three weeks ago after realizing he was becoming dependent on prescription drugs. His problems were allegedly triggered by the physical demands of shooting 300 in 2006 when he started taking painkillers to cope with numerous injuries he got while shooting the action film. The problem got worse when the 42-year-old actor was filming Of Men and Mavericks when he was badly hurt in December during a surfing accident.

Gerard is set to leave the facility today.

In December, the Scottish star was said to have cheated death by seconds during his surfing accident, which saw him trapped underwater after being hit by a series of waves. Gerard got caught in a 12ft swell while filming Of Men and Mavericks - which tells the true life story of late surfing icon Jay Moriarty - at the infamous big-wave Northern Californian surfing spot Maverick's. After being pulled from the water onto a jet ski, he was taken to shore and driven to Stanford Medical Center where he was kept under observation for one night.

Whitney Houston Autopsy Complete

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Drunk, Obituaries,

Whitney HoustonWhitney Houston's death was reportedly caused by prescription drugs and alcohol.

An autopsy on the 48-year-old singer - who was found dead in the bath of her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday - has been completed and Los Angeles County Coroner officials have told her relatives that she did not drown.

Sources told TMZ.com that the coroner did not find enough water in Whitney's lungs to suggest she died in the bath, but they believe her passing was a result of the combination of alcohol, Xanax and other prescription drugs she had taken. It is believed that Whitney's official cause of death will not be released for some time to allow police to complete investigations.

"The Beverly Hills Police Department has requested the Coroner's Office put the results on a 'security hold,' because it could hamper their ongoing investigation," a source told RadarOnline.com.

Whitney's mother reportedly plans to have the singer's body flown back to Atlanta tomorrow now the autopsy is complete.
