Chris Brown has rejected a plea deal in his Washington D.C. assault case.
The "Fine China" hitmaker, who was arrested, along with his bodyguard, in the city in October after allegedly breaking a man's nose and making a homophobic slur when the unidentified male and a friend attempted to insert themselves in a photographed the star was taking with two females, and his lawyer Mark Geragos appeared in court on Wednesday in connection with the case, where the prosecutor revealed the singer had turned down their offer to reduce the charge to simple assault.
Law enforcement sources told gossip website TMZ.com that Chris and his lawyer are eager to see video footage that police officers claim to have obtained after combing the area looking for surveillance video capturing the incident before cutting a deal. Chris is currently facing a charge of misdemeanor assault, which carries a more severe penalty.

Lindsay Lohan is going to rehab for 90 days.
The 26-year-old actress - who arrived to court in Del Aire, in Los Angeles County 48 minutes late today - plead "no contest" after striking a last minute deal with prosecutors in relation to charges for lying to police about driving her Porsche when she hit a cement truck on the Pacific Coast Highway last June while still on probation for stealing a necklace.
The Liz & Dick star was also sentenced to 30 days of community service and 18 months of psychotherapy, two months of which she has already completed. The troubled starlet will be allowed to complete her community service in New York after her stint in rehab and her lawyer Mark Heller will appear in court on May 2 to give a progress report.
The judge advised the actress - who was showered with glitter by a fan before entering the court - "don't drive" and warned her that this was her last chance to escape jail. He said if she violates her probation again, "we are going to be done with it,"before adding, "This is it."

Plea Deal for Lindsay Lohan?
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues, Rumors,
Lindsay Lohan's lawyer is working on a plea bargain which would see her avoid rehab.
The 26-year-old actress - who has been accused of lying to police about whether or not she was driving during an accident on the Pacific Coast Highway last year - previously rejected a proposed deal that would allow her avoid jail time in return for a 60-day stint in rehab but she may still manage to remain out of prison.
"A plea deal could be reached without Lindsay being forced to go into treatment. Since she wasn't arrestedor charged with crimes related to drugs or alcohol a plea deal requiring her to go to rehab isn't the only way a resolution can be reached. There are other possibilities including the options of Lohan undergoing extensive counseling and lengthy community service," a source said.
Lindsay's attorney Mark Heller has been working with prosecutors to try to iron out an agreement. "Talks between Mark Heller, and the City Attorney's office are ongoing and both sides are hopeful a plea deal can be reached soon that is mutually agreeable," the source added.
Scout Willis Rejects Plea Deal

Scout Willis has rejected an offer to plead guilty following her arrest on suspicion of underage drinking.
The 20-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore was charged with two misdemeanors on Tuesday after being arrested for allegedly drinking beer at New York's Union Square on Monday and giving officers a fake ID, but she doesn't want to end up with a criminal record over the incident.
Explaining why she won't be pleading guilty, Scout's lawyer Stacey Richman told People.com, "It would be outrageous to mar a person that's clearly going places - clearly seeking to have a career... with a criminal record. The goal is clearly a non-criminal offer."
The lawyer went on to describe the student as "clearly intelligent" and "devoted to her studies" and branded the arrest "ridiculous."

Brooke Mueller Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Possession

Brooke Mueller has pleaded guilty to cocaine possession.
The reality TV star appeared in a court room in Aspen, Colorado, today after being arrested last December for possession of a class-A drug as well as assault for allegedly hitting another woman in a nightclub.
Although the assault charges were dropped because there wasn't enough evidence, Brooke pleaded guilty to cocaine possession, according to RadarOnline.com. Under the terms of her plea deal, Brooke - who was recently released from rehab after completing 90 days treatment for drug addiction - must continue her outpatient drug treatment, and if she completes all terms of her probation, the possession charge will be dismissed in a year.
Brooke is determined to stay clean for the sake of her sons. "She's serious about staying clean, she's now living with a sober living companion, and going to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings. She is hopeful that her recovery from drugs and alcohol will be sustained and lifelong. The only thing she is taking is vitamins. The main focus in Brooke's life right now is being the best mom possible to Bob and Max and staying sober," said a source.
Lindsay Lohan Receives Not-So-Secret Courtroom Deal
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Child Stars, Clothing, Legal Issues, Rumors,
The California legal system is painfully learning the lesson that Lindsay Lohan has faced so many times: she can’t do one damned thing the media doesn’t discover. So it should come as no surprise that details from her highly-secretive legal bargain are leaking out of the courtroom.
Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz has scheduled an April 22 hearing for Lohan’s grand theft case, but before this she may appear in court one final time to accept the offer he made to her on Thursday. Linds has now formally rejected a plea bargain offered to her, in which she’s been asked to plead guilty to felony theft. He’s giving her until March 25 to change her mind.
The plea would give her a possible 3-month jail stay, which is a lot shorter than the 3-year sentence she’s facing if convicted of felony theft. Linds could also face a penalty for probation violation, as she’s not supposed to get into any legal trouble right now (her being fresh from a different court case, and all).
It doesn’t help that the judge wanted none of the details of the plea bargain made public. The judge asked lawyers on both sides to keep the deets hush-hush, but TMZ (and everybody else) got ahold of them anyway.
