Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga Compliment Each Other

Taylor Swift loves Lady Gaga.
The “Love Story” singer was delighted to hear the “Alejandro” hitmaker has praised her as a “great songwriter” because she is such a big fan of the eccentric star.
“I’m a huge fan of hers and hearing that really, really made me smile. I appreciated that. That absolutely made my day when I read that because I’m a huge fan of hers.”
The 20-year-old star is a particular fan of the “Bad Romance” singer because of her unique style.
“I remember the first time I ever saw Lady Gaga on MTV’s TRL. She had like a leotard on and I just thought to myself, that’s so daring. Her music must be daring like that and I went home and I downloaded ‘Just Dance,’” she added.
Praising Taylor’s “You Belong With Me,” Gaga recently said, “It’s a great song. I think it’s just because it’s very whimsical in a way that I’m not necessarily whimsical every day.”

Katy Perry Criticizes Lady Gaga’s Alejandro Video
Just as Christina Aguilera assures fans that there is no feud between her and Lady Gaga, pop star Katy Perry stirs up a ruckus on her Twitter page regarding the eccentric singer’s latest music video, “Alejandro.”
Shortly after the video’s release today, Perry wrote, “Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.” The remark shouldn’t come too surprisingly, as Perry (like Gaga) comes from a religious background (she got her career started singing gospel music); however, keep in mind that the statement is mouthed by the same person whose claim to fame was singing about a lesbian kiss.
The video, directed by Madonna favorite Steven Klein, is a whirlwind of Catholic images: latex nun outfit, swallowed rosary beads, and a crucifix-emblazoned raincoat getup. An obvious homage to the queen of pop, the fact that Gaga’s video is either loved or hated seems to ring an air of accomplishment for the singer.
Will Perry’s comment be enough to spark Gaga to defend her latest video?

Lady Gaga Picks Up Pub Tab, Inspired by Liverpool

Talk about kind deeds—Lady Gaga picked up a bar tab for an entire Birmingham pub.
The “Alejandro” singer - who is currently back in the UK for the second time on her Monster Ball tour - went to The Prince of Wales pub on Wednesday, and treated locals to a round of drinks and left a huge tip at the bar. A source inside the pub told The Sun, “Everyone was stunned when this striking blonde came in. Most of the blokes had no idea who she was at first. She sat at the bar with a pal for two hours, downing spirits and scribbling notes. She told the locals how much she was enjoying having a drink on a day off because she can’t handle drinking before a show. She signed autographs for staff and left a huge tip - a few hundred pounds.”
The 24-year-old took to Twitter to talk about her time in the pub and confessed she was writing a new song there: “In a Pub in England, ruining bar napkins with lyrics and memories. Dreams are never weak like we are, drunk or sober.(sic)”
Recently Lady Gaga confessed she had written a brand new song while in Liverpool. Writing on her fan site Gagadaily.com, she said, “I’ve already written the first single for the new album and I promise you, that this album is the greatest of my career. It is the anthem for our generation. I wrote for you because of you, when I was in Liverpool, I wrote the greatest music I’ve ever written.”

Billy Ray Loves New Miley Video

In her latest video “Can’t Be Tamed,” 17 year-old Miley Cyrus provocatively dances with men who look twice her age and writhes around a bed of peacock feathers in a barely-there corset all while mimicking infamous porn star expressions. Thankfully, the former Disney starlet has little worries at home, as she claims that her father Billy Ray Cyrus “loves it.”
“I think my dad was thinking I was a little crazy while I was writing it because when you’re hearing ‘feathers coming out of your hands,’ [you think] ‘oh wow, looks crazy!’” said Cyrus.

American Idol 9: Crystal Bowersox Addresses Rumors

Remember when we reported about the argument between American Idol 9’s Crystal Bowersox and Ryan Seacrest? Reports from the scene of the event stated that Idol’s front-runner was ready to leave the competition - mid-week!
Now, Crystal Bowersox has come forward to address the rumors. “It was blown out of proportion,” the singer said of her confrontation with Idol‘s host, which she downplayed as “a very civil and helpful conversation.”
“It was just…I missed my kid,” she explained. Cool-as-a-cucumber Crystal never really seemed like the tantrum type, anyway.

Feathers Fly in New Miley Cyrus Video

As if her stripper pole “performances” and risqué Vogue shoots with her dad weren’t enough, reining teen pop star Miley Cyrus has to let the world know yet again that she isn’t Hannah Montana. In a screenshot from her latest music video for “Can’t Be Tamed,” Cyrus sports a one-piece that shockingly covers up more than her usual costumes.
A touch of Lady Gaga‘s theatrics and a pinch of Britney’s Circus theme, the image shows a busty Cyrus surrounded by a group of feathered dancers. Oh, and it appears as if she’s gripping a whip…

Courtney Love Slams Daughter on Facebook

Although Courtney Love initially appeared to be tight-lipped when the news broke that she lost custody of her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, the troubled musician has now broken her silence.
No stranger to blasting ludicrous remarks on Facebook, Love used the social networking site to spew hateful thoughts about her 17 year-old daughter, whose father was the late Kurt Cobain.
“I hate to sound cold but any kid of mine who pulls this s**t has lost her position… she was deceptive, she lied and she’s lying to herself… My daughter is not always honest. The fact is fbc [Frances Bean Cobain] is deluded. She thinks she has all this money. The point is I have all the money she has. Frances is clearly deluded that she can buy her grandmother a small house in la [Los Angeles]. I’d love to see how that works. They’ll incubate her [sic] til shes 18 and then have her sign all the [sic] indnemofications.”
This is not the first time Love has lost custody of Frances Bean; Love’s lawyers assure that she did not have a drug relapse and the matter was simply Frances Bean’s decision to live with her grandparents over her mother.
In the end, however, Love ends her internet tirade with words that somewhat resemble that of a woman showing motherly care (despite what she had said previously).

Shakira Thanks Chocolate For Her Figure

Curvy Shakira claims she owes her sexy figure to chocolate.
The singer sticks to a strict healthy eating and fitness regime to stay in shape, but says it’s crucial to treat yourself to your favorite foods on occasions.
“I think it is important that you are in balance. I really like to eat, I love chocolate and all kinds of sweets. I’m absolutely addicted to it.”
Shakira, 32, also revealed she is constantly changing as a person and if her new album She Wolf seems to be focused on sex, it’s because she is a more sexual person than she was in her 20s. The pop beauty - who is engaged to Antonio de la Rua - added to German newspaper Bild, “I think that’s how life works: You’re changing and you’re constantly looking for an improved version of yourself. In my life there is one fixed constant - the connection between my music and soul. My performances are always an expression of how I feel. If I appear at the moment more sensual than before it is because this aspect plays a greater role in my life than a decade ago. I’m a woman and I think that this femininity is reflected in my new album.”
Pete Doherty Arrested in Germany

After causing a ruckus over a Nazi row, Pete Doherty is not having the best of luck in Germany: the musician has been arrested in the country for smashing the back window of a car.
The Babyshambles frontman was taken into custody for throwing a pint glass at a car - believed to be parked at the time - outside of the bar Trinkteufel (Drink Devil) in Berlin shortly before 7am on Saturday morning). According to German newspaper Bild, Pete had been thrown out of another bar a short while earlier, and upon arriving at Trinkteufel had been asking staff where he could buy some drugs.
A bartender said, “I almost threw them out too. He was drinking shots and constantly asking where to get cocaine.”
Pete was taken to a police station not far from Checkpoint Charlie - the best known crossing point between East and West Germany when the country was separated after World War II - where he spent the next three hours. He was booked for property damage and released.
Ronnie Wood Arrested on Suspicion of Assault

Ronnie Wood has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
The Rolling Stones guitarist was taken into custody in Claygate, Esher, last night after officers were called by his girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova, 20, who alleged he attacked her during a row.
The 62-year-old rocker - who was divorced by his wife Jo last month on the grounds of adultery after he began a relationship with the Russian cocktail waitress - was released on bail this afternoon. A spokesman for Surrey police said, “We can confirm that a 62-year-old man from Esher, Surrey, was arrested last night on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident in Claygate high street. He has been released on bail till a date in January pending further inquiries.”
The couple’s relationship has become more tempestuous in recent months with Ekaterina previously threatening to kill herself and Ronnie at one point moving his belongings out of their home. Ekaterina - who started her romance with the musician in 2008 -reportedly threatened to reveal everything about their relationship if he refused to take her back.
A source said, “They were definitely on the rocks - the rows were huge. He’s really unhappy. It’s a bit of a fiery relationship. Ronnie’s spokesman confirmed he was arrested after an “incident”, but is yet to comment further.
