For every hour that Lindsay Lohan spends in jail, someone will be watching her.
Reports have surfaced that Linds has been put under 24-hour surveillance following the mysterious appearance of multiple scratches on her arm.
Placing prisoners under 24-hour guard is not uncommon if it is believed that they may potentially harm themselves in some way.
Lohan won’t have to endure the watchful eyes of her wardens for long - it’s likely the starlet will be released after 14 days or less of her 90-day sentence.

Samantha Ronson has defended Lindsay Lohan after a scathing online attack by Joan Rivers.
The DJ, who was in an on-off 16-month relationship with the troubled actress from the start of 2008, took to her Twitter account to support her former lover after the 77-year-old comedienne left a series of comments laughing at the star’s personal problems and upcoming jail sentence.
“Hey Joan Rivers - you have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age, oh wait, I guess people that old can’t hear. #bully (sic)”
Lindsay, 24, later thanked her former girlfriend for sticking up for her, Tweeting, “@samantharonson thank you I love yams x (sic)”
Last Tuesday, Lindsay was sentenced to a 90-day jail term, followed by 90 days in rehab for violating the probation terms of her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge. Since the hearing, it emerged Lindsay had “F**k You” written in tiny handwriting on one of her nails as she sat in front of Judge Marsha Revel.

Michael Lohan Says Lindsay Would Prefer Jail to Rehab
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues, Parties, Rumors,
Michael Lohan claims daughter Lindsay Lohan would rather go to jail than rehab.
The Mean Girls actress is due in court tomorrow and may be sent to prison for violating her probation following her arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) in 2007, but Michael insists that wouldn’t bother her.
He told X17, “Lindsay doesn’t need to go through the jail process. She thinks that three days in jail is better than 60 days in rehab and she’s sadly mistaken. Lindsay doesn’t realize how horrible it is to be in jail for one, two, three days or longer. It’s something that would stick with her for the rest of her life and she doesn’t need any more torment.”
Troubled Lindsay - who spent 84 minutes in jail in 2007 - is currently in France at the Cannes Film Festival and may not be able to get back to Los Angeles due to the volcanic ash over Europe, which is threatening flights. However, Michael’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, insists she shouldn’t have gone with such an important date looming:

Michael Douglas Hopes Jail Will Save Son
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Drugs, Legal Issues,
Michael Douglas believes prison will save his son’s life.
The 65-year-old actor thinks the five-year sentence handed to Cameron, 31, for drug dealing will finally help him overcome his addiction problems and allow him to make a “fresh start” when he is released.
“My son has not been sober for this length of time since he was 13 years old. So he was going to be dead or somebody was going to kill him, and I think he has a chance to start a new life and he knows that. And from my understanding, it’s going to take that amount of time for him to rebuild and start himself afresh. My son was a drug dealer, and he tried to kill himself for a while, and I can’t condone his behavior. With all the mistakes and the disease that Cameron has, he is a great young man and I wouldn’t be supporting him if I didn’t feel that way.”
The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star and ex-wife Diandra Luker were criticized by the judge presiding over Cameron’s case for being “distant and problematic” parents to the DJ-and-actor during his childhood and Michael - who is now married to Catherine Zeta-Jones - accepts he made mistakes.

Is Lindsay Lohan Going to Jail?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: D-List, Movies, Music, Child Stars, Drunk, Legal Issues, Rumors,
TMZ seems to think so. The gossip site has learned that Lindsay Lohan could be in serious trouble with the law for not following the terms of her court-mandated alcohol education classes. It’s a violation of her probation, and there’s good reason to think she’ll end up doing hard time as a result.
Judge Marsha Revel ruled that LiLo must attend alcohol classes at least once every seven days, unless Lohan received treatment through inpatient rehab. The judge ruled that if Lindsay violated this agreement, Lohan would be going to jail. Well…she’s violated it.
Lindsay Lohan will face the music on May 20, a progress hearing where it will be revealed that Lohan frequently waited up to 21 days to attend her court-mandated courses. If the judge holds firms to her former ruling, Miss Lohan will find herself behind bars before the day is out.

No Charges Yet for SYTYCD’s Da Silva
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Legal Issues,
Days after being arrested on investigation of sexual assault, choreographer Alex Da Silva was released from jail.
The 41-year-old So You Think You Can Dance contributor was taken into custody by police last Saturday as a result of several rape allegations. Four different victims had accused the dance instructor of assault between 2003 and 2009.
Although the complainants each reported similar stories, the Los Angeles County prosecutors office has not been able to file charges due to a lack of evidence. More women have since come forth with their own stories, so the investigation is not yet closed.
No word yet what this might mean - if anything - for the next season of SYTYCD. The FOX reality series starts up again on May 21.

Josh Holloway’s Robber Sentenced to Prison
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Television, Legal Issues,
Shortly after celebrating last Thursday’s ratings alongside cast and crew, Lost star Josh Holloway had more to celebrate yesterday with the satisfaction of knowing that the man who robbed him is finally in jail.
Alongside his wife, the model-turned-actor who plays Sawyer on ABC’s hit series Lost was terrorized back in October of 2005 by 23 year-old Ruben Royce. Awoken from their bed in their Hawaiian home, Royce held both Holloway and his wife, Yessica, at gunpoint as he stole their cash, credit cards, and Mercedes-Benz.
Royce was convicted in court yesterday, ultimately sentenced to 13-30 years behind bars for this and similar crimes he committed the following three weeks.
Hopefully this will mark a new turning point for the cast members of the hit show, as most of them have been struck by misfortune (this, of course, includes Holloway’s robbery) ever since the series started.

Tatum O’Neal Thanks Police Who Arrested Her
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: D-List, Television, Drugs, Legal Issues, Meltdowns,
After spending Sunday night in jail following her arrest for purchasing crack and cocaine, former Dancing With the Stars contestant Tatum O’Neal was released from court yesterday. Shockingly, her first remarks were thank yous… to the police who arrested her!
Claiming sobriety, the New York City jail survivor gratefully thanked her law enforcers for keeping her that way: “Just when I was about to change that and wreck my life, the cops came and saved me! I was saved by the bell, by the guys in the Seventh Precinct.”
What I’m wondering was whether or not she was truly sober, thinking we would actually believe that she thanked those cops from the bottom of her heart. Then again, she may very well have been smart enough to learn from her fellow jailbird celebrities and look pretty good whilst being sprung from the can.
