Ricky Martin Wishes He Could Come Out Again

Ricky Martin wishes he could come out as homosexual again.
The "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer claims he was initially terrified at how his peers would react to the news - after keeping his sexuality a secret until he was 38 - but claims the experience was extremely liberating and he longs to relive it a second time.
"I was terrified. I had to really work on my self esteem to understand that it's all about self love, and other people's opinions weren't what was important. What WAS important was accepting myself exactly as I am, as I was born. I insist, it wasn't easy, but wow, I wish I could come out again because it felt like I could 'high five' God [sic]," he said, speaking during a Facebook chat with fans.
The 41-year-old singer also said he was a keen supporter of Miley Cyrus and suggested the star's wild antics are a reflection of her growing up in the music industry: "I LOVE MILEY! #TEAMMILEY all the way. She's a young woman living the moment with music...i wish her nothing but the best [sic]."

Jane Lynch Has a Crush on Helen Mirren
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Television, Features,

Jane Lynch thinks that Helen Mirren is a ''vixen''.
The Glee actress doesn't find stereotypical beautiful women attractive, but admits she is more drawn to British actresses - with the Hitchcock star being a particular favorite. "Someone like Helen Mirren [does something for me]: she's a vixen and she's got a potty mouth and she'd be crazy. When I met her, she was so immediately familiar and hilarious. What I love most about British actors is that they don't have to be beautiful to work. Remember Juliet Stevenson in Truly, Madly, Deeply? All those tears and all that snot coming out of her nose? She's beautiful in her own way but not classic looking," she revealed.

Rashida Jones Wants John Travolta to Say He’s Gay
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rumors,
Actress Rashida Jones has publicly urged John Travolta to come out of the closet following persistent rumors he is gay.
Rashida was publicizing her movie Celeste and Jesse Forever when the conversation turned to her obsession with Frank Ocean who came out as homosexual, earlier this year. Her writing partner and former boyfriend Will McCormack said, "There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out." Rashida, 36, added, "And a movie star! It's time...Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let's do this."

George Clooney: I don’t Care People Think I’m Gay
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Rumors,
George Clooney "doesn't give a s**t" if people think he is gay.
The Descendants star - who is currently dating ex-wrestler Stacy Keibler - is "very happy" with his private life and laughs it off when people say he's homosexual, but he would never get angry about the rumors for fear of giving an impression that there's something wrong with being gay.
"I think it's funny, but the last thing you'll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, 'These are lies!' That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I'm very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay? I'll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don't give a s**t."
The 50-year-old actor believes one day people will be "embarrassed" to have been against marriage equality because it will seem "archaic" in the next generation:

VIDEO: Jane Lynch Says DeGeneres Blazed Trail for Gay Actors
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Videos,
Although Jane Lynch has proudly discussed her recent wedding to Dr. Lara Embry, there was a time when she wasn’t so open about her sexuality. Thankfully, fellow actors like Ellen DeGeneres made it easier for her to do so.
“I was more closeted in my life when I was younger,” the Emmy winner revealed. “By the time I started to do work and people knew who I was, I just never made the choice to hide that I was gay.”
“By the time you get to be our age, Ellen, there are no big deals anymore,” she added.
Of course, a little inspiration always helps. “You were at the height of your fame and you came out,” Lynch told DeGeneres. “And that just blazed a trail for me. It really did. It made it so much easier for me what you did.”

The Glee, Newsweek Summit is On
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Television, Rivalries, Rumors,

The battle between Newsweek and Glee is well on its way to being resolved peacefully - and without any media back-and-forth bickering. Recently, writer Ramin Setoodeh wrote a controversial article regarding homosexual actors and actresses. In it, he named new Glee cast member Jonathan Groff and made quite a few remarks about the actor’s inability to play a straight love interest to actress Lea Michele.
Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy fired back after the article was published, demanding a boycott of the entire magazine. In a (considerably lengthy) statement to Setoodeh, and by extension the world, Murphy extended “an open invitation to Mr. Setoodeh to come to the writers room of our show, and perhaps pay a set visit. Hopefully then he can see how we take care to do a show about inclusiveness…a show that encourages all viewers no matter what their sexual orientation to go after their hopes and dreams…”
In response, Ramin Setoodeh has accepted the offer. This oughtta be good.

Glee Creator Demands Newsweek Boycott
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Television,
UPDATE: Ramin Setoodeh, the author of the Newsweek article, will be sitting down with Murphy and the other Glee writers.
Newsweek may have recently fired the first bullet in a media war. A recent article in the mag has been labeled everything from “antiquated” (Entertainment Weekly) to “horrendous” (Kristen Chenoweth). The article deals with the hot-button topic of homosexuality, alleging both that A) homosexual actors are not convincing in straight roles; and that B) we as an audience cannot accept homosexual actors in straight roles. The Newsweek piece mentions Glee star Jonathan Groff, who is playing Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) love interest Jesse St. James, and several other openly homosexual actors and actresses.
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has come forward in the press, urging people to boycott Newsweek as a result. He says the article is “damaging, needlessly cruel and mind-blowingly bigoted.” “Would the magazine have published an article where the author makes a thesis statement that minority actors should only be allowed and encouraged to play domestics? I think not,” Murphy said in a statement. He found it “shocking” that “Newsweek went ahead and published such a blatantly homophobic article in the first place.”
“Today, I have asked GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios to stand with me and others and ask for an immediate boycott of Newsweek magazine until an apology is issued,” Murphy stated.

I have a feeling True Blood fans will be viewing Sookie Stackhouse a lot differently from now on.
In a new PSA for Give a Damn, a campaign that fights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality, Oscar winner Anna Paquin makes a surprise announcement: “I’m bisexual.”
The 27-year-old, who is engaged to HBO co-star Stephen Moyer, joins a list of celebrities - gay and straight - for the cause. “One hate crime is committed approximately every hour of every day in this country,” Paquin states in the clip.
Others supporting organizer Cyndi Lauper in the campaign include Elton John, Jason Mraz, Whoopi Goldberg, Clay Aiken and Wanda Sykes.

Quote of the Day: Elton John on His View of Jesus
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music,

“I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems. On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don’t know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East—you’re as good as dead.”

Kara DioGuardi Outs Lambert, Adam Disses Aiken
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Television, Videos,
Given all the recent talk about American Idol‘s Adam Lambert, you would have thought the Season 8 runner-up was actually the winner. Maybe these two new tidbits will now put some of the chatter to rest.
Is Adam Lambert gay?
Even though it was believed the 27-year-old might soon reveal that answer to Rolling Stone magazine, someone else may have already done the work for him. On today’s episode of The View, judge Kara DioGuardi said Lambert’s sexuality has never been a mystery.
“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet]. You know, I think he was always openly out.” Kara told the co-hosts. When Barbara Walters questioned that statement, Kara added: “From what I’ve seen on the various forms of things, I do. I never thought he wasn’t.”
