Conrad Murray: Ordered to Stand Trial for Michael Jackson Manslaughter

His legal defense seemed a little shaky from the word go.
Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who cared for pop star Michael Jackson during the singer’s final days, has been ordered to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter. Murray claimed that Jackson injected himself with a lethal dose of Propofol, but the judge has ruled that Murray's case will continue.
Meanwhile, Murray has been stripped of his medical license. Members of the Jackson family (Katherine, Janet, La Toya, Jackie, Jermaine and Marlon) were present during last week’s hearing, which ended in the current ruling. “I’m happy so far,” said La Toya of the events.
Testimony in the hearing took six days, where more than 20 witnesses were heard for the prosecution. No witnesses were called for the defense during the hearing.

Michael Jackson’s Death Likely a Homicide
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Child Stars, Rumors,
Officials are now saying that the cause of death listed for Michael Jackson, King of Pop, will “almost certainly” be homicide. The LAPD has already been treating the investigation surrounding the singer’s death as a homicide for weeks, and recently some documents were seized in what could lead to manslaughter charges.
Michael Jackson’s autopsy reports are expected to be released next week, once the full toxicology results are known.
Following a raid led by homicide detectives from the LAPD and multiple DEA agents in Houston, Dr. Conrad Murray has now been named as a suspect in the case. He is the physician who was with Jackson during the last hours of the pop star’s life. E-mails, computer hard drives and some medicines were seized from Conrad’s officers earlier in the week.

Entertainment Industry Reacts to Hudson Tragedy
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Breaking News,
“I’m planning on touring,” Jennifer Hudson smiled and spoke enthusiastically only weeks ago. “There’s more films and more music and stuff like that [in the future],” she said. “I want to start a fashion line as well, start writing music.” After her breakout performance in Dreamgirls, appearing as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant in the runaway hit chick flick Sex and the City and with a new album and movie already making waves, Jennifer Hudson’s life seemed charmed. Today, the effervescent star is at the center of a grisly tragedy.
Engaged to David Otunga and on the brink of what appears to be an extremely successful career, Hudson talked of her many future plans. “It’s gonna be a production,” she said of her wedding. “I have so many visions for it right now - I get to put that together.”
Hudson, 27, had the world at her feet only last week. Now, she probably feels the weight of the world crashing down on her shoulders. Over the weekend, Hudson’s mother and brother were victims of domestic violence, events which proved fatal for both. On Monday, the star was in Chicago identifying the body of her nephew Julian, 7, who had gone missing after the killings took place.
