Lady Gaga battled severe depression late last year.
The "Applause" hitmaker admitted she had a very stressful 2013, during which she cancelled her tour to have hip surgery, parted ways with her long-term manager, Troy Carter, and received mixed reviews for her latest album ARTPOP, but is now in a much better place.
"I went through a rough time last year. I felt very taken advantage of by people I trusted. I became very depressed at the end of 2013. I was exhausted fighting people off. I couldn't even feel my own heartbeat. I was angry, cynical, and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go. I just didn't feel like fighting anymore. I didn't feel like standing up for myself one more time -- to one more person who lied to me," the 27-year-old star told the March issue of Harper's Bazaar. "I really felt like I was dying -- my light completely out."

Keira Knightley: Feminism isn’t a “Dirty Word”

Keira Knightley is glad feminism is no longer a "dirty word."
The 28-year-old actress thinks the world is becoming more open to talking about equality for women and she is pleased people are able to discuss issues maturely. "I think it's great, what's happening at the moment, I think it's great that the discussions are finally being allowed to be had, as opposed to anybody mentioning feminism and everybody going, 'oh, f***ing shut up,'" she told Harper's Bazaar. "Somehow, it became a dirty word. I thought it was really weird for a long time, and I think it's great we're coming out of that."
However, the Anna Karenina star suggested the film industry has a "long way to go" to prove women are truly equal. She noted the number of female lead roles are limited in Hollywood, and thinks actresses should have more opportunities. "Hollywood has a really long way to go. I don't think that anybody can deny that, really, and I think as much as you are getting more women playing lead roles... they're still pretty few and far between," she added.
Madonna Reveals Rape Ordeal

Madonna was raped at the start of her career.
The pop legend has opened up about her traumatic ordeal for the first time in nearly two decades, revealing she was sexually abused by a stranger at knifepoint shortly after arriving in New York City from Rochester, Michigan, to pursue her dreams of stardom. Writing in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, the 55-year-old singer recalled, "New York wasn't everything I thought it would be. It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back. I had my apartment broken into three times. I don't know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time."
The "Like a Prayer" singer was determined to survive in the Big Apple in spite of her terrible experiences and was all the more "hell-bent" on making a name for herself, even if it meant doing jobs she didn't like. "Arriving in New York wasn't anything I prepared for. Trying to be a professional dancer, paying my rent by posing nude for art classes, staring at people staring at me naked. Daring them to think of me as anything but a form they were trying to capture with their pencils and charcoal. I was defiant. Hell-bent on surviving. On making it. But it was hard and it was lonely, and I had to dare myself every day to keep going," she explained.

Scarlett Johansson Delays Family for Her Career
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Scarlett Johansson is having too much "fun" with her career to start a family yet. The 28-year-old actress - who is dating French journalist Romain Dauriac - definitely wants to have kids in the future but at the moment she is enjoying such a productive and rewarding period of acting she doesn't want to take time out to have a baby.
Scarlett's recent films include We Bought a Zoo, The Avengers and Hitchcock, and she has five films coming out in the next 18 months, including another outing as super-spy Black Widow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Speaking in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, she said, "Eventually I want to have a family, and that would be my focus, but right now I'm having fun with it. There have been times in my career where I've struggled to find ... I was stuck for a while. It was more difficult, maybe, to find the right thing to do. Now I'm enjoying a really productive, creative period."

Scarlett Johansson Won’t Rule Out Political Career

Scarlett Johansson is debating a move into politics.
The 28-year-old actress - who was a vocal supporter of Barack Obama during his US presidential re-election campaign - has refused to rule out an expanded role. Speaking in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar, she said, "Do I imagine myself having a full-on political career? That seems like a stretch. But who knows? I don't limit the possibilities. If I have more time, I may be able to lend a bigger voice to politics. I never close the door on those kinds of things."
Such a career move wouldn't be a big surprise coming from the Avengers star, whose family taught her the importance of being "politically active." She explained, "I come from a politically active family. To be an active member of the community, to be a responsible citizen and to engage politically have always been part of my awareness and part of my life. More than anything else, I believe that if everyone exercised the right to vote, the right choice would be made by the nation as a whole."
Mila Kunis: No One Ever Asks Me Out

Mila Kunis claims she never gets asked out on dates.
The Black Swan actress - who split from Macaulay Culkin in 2011 after eight years of dating - explained she has been so busy with her career over the past year that she hasn't had time to think about meeting a potential partner.
"I don't get asked out. This past year, I haven't been home, so who's going to ask me?"
However, the 28-year-old beauty admitted she has become "besties" with her cherished beverage of wine, and would rather stay at home and chill out than go to a wild party. "I don't go out very often. I prefer to stay home and have a nice little beverage and watch television. My glass of wine and I are besties," she added to Harper's Bazaar.
Mila also explained her body has "never been the same" since she got down to just 95 pounds for her role as ballerina Lily in Black Swan, and she would actually like her bottom to get "bigger."

Robsten Goes Noir For Harper’s Bazaar
In a sad but much needed effort to boost magazine sales, Harper’s Bazaar placed Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on their December cover.
While their pose on the cover comes off rather awkward (where is her neck? why do his fingers don’t seem to want to touch her? why does she look like Ashley Greene?), the photos coinciding with their interviews (seen after the jump) seem too natural to be an act, piling more evidence to their questionable real-life romance.
Shot by Mark Seliger, the photo shoot is very noir-inspired—the goal was to make Kristen look “vampish and sexy.” The tomboy traded in her Converses and Rock & Republic frocks for a gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown, as well as Valentino and Yves St. Laurent pieces. While anything and everything looks good on Pattinson, he wears Dior Homme (in case you wanted to note that somewhere in your homemade shrine).
I’m beginning to think that the two stay tight-lipped about their relationship just so we crave these magazine features and interviews—would we really be that interested in all of this Twilight hoopla if we weren’t trying to figure out if they were together in real life?
