Quote of the Day: Heidi Montag’s Mom on the Estrangement
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Television, Meltdowns,

“I haven’t slept in months. I had to go get a prescription for sleeping pills just to be able to go to sleep at night to the point that I didn’t even know how I would even make it another day. I’ve been mourning the loss of a child and, yeah, it hurts. It hurts more than I thought it could hurt.”
- Darlene Egelhoff talks to her daughter Holly in tonight’s episode of The Hills about how she’s taking the estrangement from her
other daughter Heidi Montag.

Probation Extended For Nicole Richie
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television, Celebrity Babies, Drunk, Legal Issues, Where Are They Now?,
Lindsay Lohan could learn something from Nicole Richie, who recently extended her probation.
The socialite - who was put on probation in 2006 following a driving under the influence (DUI) offence, after being arrested for driving the wrong way down a Los Angeles motorway and failing a sobriety test - was told it wouldn’t be terminated next month as expected, because she hasn’t attended enough alcohol education classes.
According to her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley - who appeared in a Los Angeles court yesterday - the 28-year-old starlet failed to complete the course because she has been too busy looking after her children Harlow, two, and nine-month-old Sparrow, her kids with her rocker fiance Joel Madden.
Her probation period has now been extended to March 2011, but the judge has promised to terminate it early if she completed the alcohol program before then. Despite the extension, Nicole has been praised for her work on the course so far. Her report states, “Her attitude is excellent.”

Megan Fox Loves Domesticity, Lying to the Media
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Style, Rumors,
The mysterious and oh-so-eccentric Megan Fox claims domesticity keeps her sane.
The Jonah Hex actress - who is engaged to actor Brian Austin Green and helps raise his eight-year-old son Kassius - thinks people would be surprised to realize how much she prefers home life to wild parties.
“Oddly you wouldn’t think it, but I’m very domestic. That keeps me sane. I sort of distance myself from the Hollywood crowd. I don’t go out and socialize that way.”
The 24-year-old star admits she sometimes finds the scrutiny over her personal life “overwhelming” but thinks she has the strength to cope with fame.
“People who make it to this level of fame for whatever reason - whether deserved or not - you have to be a strong person to survive it. Because it is very difficult to be under the microscope every moment of every day. It becomes overwhelming.”
The brunette beauty recently admitted she sometimes makes up stories about herself in order to divert attention about her personal life: “In the past, I’ve been reluctant to share any bits of truth about myself or to really let people in on my reality, so I have said some things to throw people off the scent of what’s really going on in my life. So I have sort of aided the media in printing these misconceptions, which I regret.”
Kristen Stewart Loves Fame, Hates Twitter
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars, Rants,
Despite comparing paparazzi to rapists, Kristen Stewart likes being famous.
The Eclipse actress admits fame does make her life easier, especially in her professional life.
“The fame makes my life so much easier where it’s most important to me, because I get to do really awesome projects right now. It looks much crazier on the outside than it is.”
However, the 20-year-old star doesn’t want to court the attention and avoids social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter because she thinks they are narcissistic: “It’s just too connected. They can just basically reach out and touch you. I feel about the most interesting thing about me is that I do these movies. More than that. It’s just complete narcissism. You start giving stuff away - then they’re not going to stop asking. There’s not a satisfied point that you can ever reach, so why start.”
Kristen recently credited her family for helping her reach where she had, and noted she was glad not to find herself in the same situation as troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. “My family are amazing. I had, like, the perfect upbringing. It sucks for people like Lindsay Lohan, but it’s not her fault that she’s so off the rails - and she’s smart, very smart.”

Ashton Kutcher Got Over Insecurity to Befriend Bruce Willis
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Divorce, Rivalries,
Ashton Kutcher says that he found it “difficult” to like Bruce Willis because he used to sleep with his wife.
The Killers star admits he initially found it challenging to get along with his spouse Demi Moore‘s former husband, because he couldn’t stop thinking about how they used to have sex together.
“At first it was difficult. You think, ‘He’s the guy who used to sleep with my wife,’ but once you overcome the jealousy, which is just your own personal insecurity, it gets easier.”
The two men now get along brilliantly, and often spend time “hanging out” together with Demi and Bruce’s daughters - and Ashton’s step-daughters - Rumer, 21, Scout, 18, and 16-year-old Tallulah Belle. “People ask us, ‘How do you guys get on so well?’ Well, I don’t like everything Bruce does, and I’m sure he doesn’t think everything I do is great. But being with Bruce is normal to me now. We go scuba-diving, skiing, we hang out with the girls together, we watch movies, we talk about sport.”

“Depends on what you call beating up. She performed the musical Cats for our parents, and she made me lick milk from a bowl while she sang, which was, in a way abuse.”

Gary Coleman’s Parents Want Details
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television, Child Stars, Obituaries,
Gary Coleman‘s parents are desperate to know what happened to the actor before he died.
Sue and Willie Coleman - the estranged relatives of the Diff’rent Strokes actor, who passed away on Friday night after suffering from a brain hemorrhage and falling into a coma - are devastated they were unable to speak with the 42-year-old star before his passing and are anxious to know the circumstances surrounding his death.
“We would’ve loved to have been there by his side at the hospital, to let him know we love him before he passed away. This is a shock to us. We loved Gary very much. We’re going to miss him. We’re not pointing fingers at anyone, but we need to know exactly what happened. We’re not angry. We’re just concerned. Did our son fall down the stairs? Did he fall in the bathtub? We need to have some closure on our son’s life.”
Gary was admitted to hospital following the fall at his home on Wednesday evening, but his condition was so bad his 24-year-old wife Shannon Price was forced to turn off his life support machine. Although the pair had a tempestuous relationship - which saw Gary arrested in January over a domestic violence charge - police officers are convinced there is nothing suspicious about his passing.

Suri Advises Tom Cruise
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Celebrity Babies,
Who needs a professional advisor when you have Suri? Tom Cruise discusses his career plans with his four-year-old daughter.
The actor, who is married to Katie Holmes, describes the story contained in his scripts to Suri and then listens to her questions because he thinks it makes him a better actor.
“I’ll put Suri on a swing and tell her stories when I’m working on a script. I’ll start with the beginning of the movie and take her through the story beat by beat. Of course, I make it age-appropriate. She’s four years old. But she asks all the right questions, ‘Why does that happen?’ ‘Those are the bad guys?’ ‘You’re the good guy, right?’ It comes down to the same thing as when I was a kid. Can I create a character that will make her happy, that will make her laugh? And you know what? She makes me get better and better, because she’s always asking me to do it again.”
Tom - who also has adopted children Connor,15, and 17-year-old Isabella with ex-wife Nicole Kidman - constantly tries to be the best parent he can because of a promise he made his eldest child when she was just a baby:

Taylor Swift Wants Curtains For Christmas
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music,
Taylor Swift has asked for soft furnishings from Santa this Christmas.
The “Love Story” singer - who has just moved out of her parents’ home and bought her own place in Nashville, Tennessee - says the only gifts she is asking for are soft furnishings to decorate her home.
“I have just bought my first home in Nashville. So I will go out soon, and live alone for the first time in my life. I’d like many cushions, curtains, bedding and picture frames for my new apartment. If I find some free time in London, I would like to buy furniture and accessories. I’ve heard that there are great ones in the Portobello Road antique shops. “
Taylor also revealed that her father - who was once a Christmas tree salesman - loved the festive time of year so much, that the whole family went overboard decorating the house every year: “Christmas here at home is always a big celebration. Each room is decorated; I’m looking forward to it.”
