Was Bristol Palin Forced to Dance with the Stars?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Rumors,

According to recent DWTS contestant Margaret Cho, the season's most controversial "celebrity" was merely on the program to make good with her mother.
"Why did Bristol [Palin] do Dancing with the Stars? I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it," the comedienne wrote on her personal blog.

VIDEO: Chad Ochocinco Gives Cheryl Burke a Ring
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Sports, Television, Videos,
Some students give their teachers apples as a token of their appreciation. Others give rocks—large ones.
Although Cheryl Burke hasn’t exactly been romantically linked to the football star (yes, they do flirt), she received an extremely generous present from Chad Ochocinco this week: a ring reportedly worth over $10,000.
The Dancing with the Stars competitor said the diamond-studded platinum piece was simply his way of thanking her. “It was just a gift ... In my world, we tend to give those that we care about gifts.” Chad added: “She has to deal with me nine hours a day. It’s like a marriage, so why not give marriage gifts? I don’t spend time with anyone like this—ever!”
A $10,000 ring for only being together 9+ hours a day? My actual husband must be squirreling away for a really big surprise!

Are DWTS’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Erin Andrews Dating?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Dating, Videos, Rumors,
Although she’s used to delivering the tough questions, ESPN’s Erin Andrews had a hard time answering them last night.
After her Week 2 performance on Dancing with the Stars, the ballroom competitor was asked twice about rumors she is dating partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The first time, she either completely misunderstood the question or tried to blow it off completely. The second time, she opted to go with the witty response.
“I think Maks is romantically involved with himself, don’t we all know that?” she told the photographer.
Note to all the secret lovers out there: If you don’t want people to believe the gossip, just try saying “No.”

Solo Dancer Pamela Anderson
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television,

Pamela Anderson insists her new dancing partner is the only man in her life at the moment.
Starting tomorrow, the former Baywatch babe - who recently split from her toy boy lover Jamie Padgett - will begin her run on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. This means she’ll have little time to concentrate on anyone other than her new partner.
“The only man in my life right now is Damian [Whitewood]. He has my undivided attention. I don’t know if likes that though. He has to live with it. He got stuck with me,” Anderson declared.

As we’ve learned over several years of Dancing with the Stars, couples that dance together don’t necessarily stay together.
Country stars Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks are now the latest ballroom pair to go their separate ways. Their split follows breakups between Sabrina Bryan/Mark Ballas, Derek Hough/Shannon Elizabeth and Maksim Chmerkovskiy/Karina Smirnoff.

DWTS Champ Dating Ousted American Idol Singer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Television, Hook-ups,
Mark Ballas is a fast mover…on and off the dance floor.
Earlier this week, the one-time Dancing with the Stars champ stepped out with the new woman in his wife: American Idol‘s Joanna Pacitti. Although most people only recently became aware of Pacitti (primarily because of her dismissal from the reality competition), it turns out she and Mark have “been friends for a long time.”
At the premiere of the new Jonas Brothers movie, the 22-year-old showered praise on his new girlfriend. “She is the most supportive person in my life and she’s been great,” Ballas stated. “We get to spend a lot of time together [and] we do pretty much everything together.”
Pacitti also spoke warmly about the 22-year-old dancer/singer. “We both get each other and understand schedules and even on a musical level, I’ve never met someone that’s so passionate about music…that’s what I live for so it’s amazing to be with someone who gets it.”
According to the couple, the two started dating eight months ago. For those trying to do the math, that would mean Mark had moved on approximately a month after he and Sabrina Bryan split.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy may be an expert on the ballroom floor, but he’s just a regular guy when it comes to proposals.
In the above clip, the 28-year-old Dancing with the Stars competitor and his fiancee, Karina Smirnoff, talk about the night he popped the question.
NOTE TO FUTURE RING BUYERS: The phrase “I’ve been with a lot women” should never be uttered during a proposal.

Engagement for DWTS’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Engagements,
To call these dancers “quick movers” would be an understatement.
Although they’ve only been together for less than six months, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff are now officially engaged. The two Dancing with the Stars competitors - who have known each other for about 15 years - began dating shortly after Smirnoff, 30, ended her relationship with Mario Lopez last summer.
According to sources, Maksim, 28, popped the question to Karina on New Year’s Eve while they were celebrating in Las Vegas. The proposal happened in between stops of their DWTS tour. (Both dancers are expected to participate in the next season of the ABC show when it returns on March 9.)
