Carrie Underwood: Being a Vegetarian Is Easy

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television, Features,

Carrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood finds being a vegetarian easy. While many vegetarians complain it is difficult to find restaurants which will will cater to their needs, Carrie says she never has a problem when eating out.

"I am 100 per cent vegetarian but I try my best to be vegan. It's getting better. There are so many restaurants that will work with you - even steakhouses. My husband [ice hockey player Mike Fisher] loves to eat meat and there's a place called King Prime that we like to go to. They're always really nice to me and give me veggies if I ask for them. There's loads of newer restaurants in [Nashville districts] East Nashville and The Gulch that will cater for you too..."

Meanwhile, despite reports Hayden Panettiere's feisty Nashville character is based on her, Carrie insists she and her other singer friends are nothing like her. "Noooo! There are so few women in country music versus the men. But the TV shows are always about them and how drama-rific it all is, how they all hit each other. I have a lot of girlfriends in the scene and none of us are like any of the characters on the show!" she explained.

Morgan Freeman: Joker Role Didn’t Kill Heath

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Drugs, Obituaries, Rumors,

Morgan FreemanMorgan Freeman insists Heath Ledger's death had nothing to with him playing The Joker in The Dark Knight.

The 28-year-old actor died in January 2008 from an accidental drug overdose and while some people believe he was struggling to cope with the intensity of playing the maniacal character, co-star Morgan isn't convinced the role played any part in his untimely passing.

"Well, it's a downer when anything happens to an actor in mid-production. In fact, he didn't die during production, his part was wrapped up, but the movie itself wasn't out yet. People connected the character to his death because the character was so ... evil. People imagine that the role leaks into the man or something. And I don't think that was the case at all," Morgan said, speaking of Heath's tragic death.

Morgan - who has reprised his role as Lucius in new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises - also revealed he has no intention of retiring from acting even though he's 75: "What keeps anyone going? I have work. I have things to do. I prefer working to idleness. And I like my job. I'm lucky, I'm not working because I have to; I'm working because I love to."

Kim CattrallKim Cattrall claims she's no expert on sex.

The 55-year-old actress is famous for playing maneater Samantha Jones in the Sex and the City TV series and films, but she insists she is no more knowledgeable about lovemaking than anyone else.

"I'm no expert on sex but I've felt under huge pressure in the past to be one, because of the characters I've played. The thing that changed everything for me was becoming sexually happy. I'd not been for years, but then I was with a partner who was sensitive and who listened."

But Kim does think Sex and the City helped women from a range of backgrounds feel more comfortable to talk about erotic acts: "One of the great things about Sex and the City was that it addressed sexuality with humor. It's not all about the orgasms ... it's about the journey!"

Although Kim is keen to play down her sexual knowledge, the blonde bombshell also co-wrote the 2002 book Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm with her now ex-husband Mark Levinson.

The Battleship actor claims that when he worked with the "Where Have You Been?" singer on the movie, he was impressed with how she juggled her career in entertainment.

"God, I thought I worked a lot. We would shoot until late Friday night and she would jump on a plane and go to L.A. to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards in front of a billion people, and then get straight back on the plane and fly to Hawaii, and go to set Monday morning with a smile on her face."

Nicole Kidman Sent Sexy Texts to Land ‘Paperboy’ Role

Nicole Kidman at the Cannes Film FestivalNicole Kidman sent "provocative" text messages to Lee Daniels to land her role in Paperboy.

The director was reluctant to cast such a big-name actress in the low-budget movie - which sees Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey play two brothers investigating the case of a death row inmate played by John Cusack - so Nicole went to extreme lengths to get him to agree to cast her as a sex-crazed woman obsessed with marrying a convicted killer.

"Lee said, 'Look, we've got no money, you're going to have to do your own hair and make-up. So I actually went into my bathroom and I got out the fake tan and put on fake eyelashes and got a hairpiece thing that was platinum, threw it all on and texted a photo to Lee in all these different provocative positions. That's how it came together. What he sent back I can't say, but it was a thumbs up."

Scarlett Johansson Has ‘Body Worries’

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson has "body worries." Despite her sex symbol status, the actress star has issues with her figure like all women do, but her all-action role in The Avengers as Black Widow got her into the best shape she's ever been in.

"Every woman has body worries, and I'm not exempt from that. But part of the by-product of spending that much time in the gym is that you can fit into a catsuit," she said.

Scarlett's spy character in the superhero movie is "very bendy and fierce," and the screen beauty had to work very closely with her stunt-double Heidi Moneymaker to get her fight scenes right:

"The idea is that she (Moneymaker) and I become one and we can start and finish each others moves and everything in between. And it's a lot of training and dedication and it hurts and it hurts and it hurts and then suddenly it doesn't hurt and you're getting it right and it's a great moment - you feel like you've accomplished something big."

Josh Hutcherson and his new puppyJosh Hutcherson has named his puppy after Ryan Gosling.

The 19-year-old Hunger Games star adopted a Blue Pit puppy from a rescue center last week and decided to call it Driver, after one of Ryan's film characters. "I'm obsessed with the movie Drive, and Ryan Gosling's character was named Driver. I always thought it was a good name for a dog so it just kind of worked out," he said.

The actor is looking forward to "taking it easy" for the next few months, after being worked into the ground by ex-Navy Seal Logan Hood to bulk up for his role in The Hunger Games:

"[Logan] just kicks ass. [He had me] flipping tires the parking lot and slamming baseball bats against body bags - crazy things! It was so unconventional, and you're working muscles you didn't even know you had. You're like, 'How am I possibly this sore?' I felt like with Logan, I was sore for four days afterwards, and we worked out five days a week, so I was in a constant state of soreness!"

Adam Brody Isn’t a Ladies’ Man

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Hook-ups,

Adam BrodyAdam Brody is not a smooth womanizer. The former O.C. star plays ladies' man Charlie Walker in new college movie Damsels in Distress, but insists he is nothing like his alter-ego as he would never be able to pull his cool moves off in real life.

"I haven't ever bought drinks for a stranger and sent them across the bar by way of introduction," he said.

However, Adam, 32, says his character is not as confident as he appears and actually has a lot of insecurities. "I think to a certain degree Charlie is intellectual and he is certainly striving to better himself. But at the same time, he's a bit insecure about his actual standing in life and where he's going. He's probably insecure about a lot of things and I can certainly relate to that. I can't really say if I'm intellectual or the opposite," he said in an interview with The Independent.
