Matthew McConaughey Credits Wife for Success

Matthew McConaughey puts his success down to his wife and children.
The Academy-Award winning actor describes his home life as "enriching" and claims the achievements in his career wouldn't have been possible without the support of his spouse Camila Alves and their children, Levi, five, Vida, four, and 15-month-old Livingston, following his win as Best Actor at the Oscars on Sunday.
"I try to give a lot to my life and the people in it, and I know they sure give back. I have a lot to be thankful for. My life outside my career is extremely enriching. So I am letting that feed my work, and letting my work feed my life," Matthew told People.
Richard Linklater - who gave Matthew his breakout role in 1993 film Dazed and Confused - agrees that Camila's support has been a big factor in her husbands transitioning career in recent years: "[In Hollywood] You'll have people around you who want other things [for you], but she will approach it as, 'What does Matthew want?' That's the direction she pushes him."

Camila Alves Didn’t Want to Wed

The 29-year-old model says it wasn't until she and long-term partner Matthew McConaughey tied the knot at their Texas home in June that she realized how important and "special" the institution is.
She had previously warned her parents they would never see her walk down the aisle. "I did know how important [marriage] was and how really truly special it was until I went through the ceremony. I was never the girl growing up that said, 'I want to get married.' I actually told my parents, 'Don't not expect me to get married.' We both come from divorced parents. Both of our parents got divorced and got back together, twice."
Camila and Matthew - who have four-year-old Levi and two-year-old Vida together - are expecting their third child and the Brazilian beauty admits she was surprised to fall pregnant so quickly: "I was trying to push [having another baby] back as much as I could, but it was time. This baby was ready to come. The main thing to me is to make sure our home is peaceful, that it's healthy and that the kids are good."

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are expecting their third child together.
The Magic Mike star and his model wife announced there would be a further addition to the family via his Twitter page today. "Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin," he wrote.
Matthew and Camila married only one month ago at their home in Texas, United States.
The 42-year-old actor's 29-year-old spouse tweeted the same message just 20 minutes before her partner did.
The couple are already parents to two-year-old daughter Vida, and almost-four-year-old son Levi. When asked on their wedding weekend about their dreams for the future, the couple told People, "More of the same -- and more family!"

According to RadarOnline, the estate was turned into a makeshift campground scattered with tents for guests to sleep in.
The couple got engaged on Christmas Day, but Matthew, 42, has previously said he had felt married to Camila, 30, for a long time: "We have homes together, we have family together, we have kids, we've built a life together. So we've been living a married life this whole time."
Along with keeping the celebrations to just close friends and family, those working at the event had to sign a nondisclosure contract.

Matthew McConaughey is set to marry Camila Alves this weekend.
The Magic Mike actor is planning to tie the knot with his long term partner - with who he has three-year-old son Levi and two-year-old daughter Vida - in a special ceremony in Texas. According to E! News, just two dozen close friends and relatives have been invited to the "cozy" celebration, with those working at the event signing a nondisclosure contract.
Camila was due to be honored at the Step Up Women's Network event in Beverly Hills today, but instead sent a video message so she could remain close to the wedding plans.
Matthew, 42, recently moved his family back to Austin, Texas because he loves the laid-back vibe of the city and enjoys a level of anonymity he cannot achieve elsewhere: "No one recognizes you and no one asks you, 'Hey, what do you do?,' because I don't think anyone cares. Fridays show up sooner here. You want to get along in Austin, you want to get along in Texas, all you have to do is be yourself."

Matthew McConaughey calls his son “the fruit bandit.”
The 39-year-old actor and his partner Camila Alves, who is pregnant with their second child, came up with the unusual nickname for 14-month-old Levi because he can’t stop eating healthy foods.
Referring to 100m sprint world record holder Usain Bolt, Matthew said, “Levi is doing terrific waiting for his little bro or sis… we had to super child proof the new house because he’s motoring around like Usain Bolt—Camila and I can barely keep up. We call him the fruit bandit ‘cause if there’s fruit out, he’s on it, taking it and eating it. He’s getting bigger, more fun, smarter and craftier by the day.”
Matthew added that the whole family is excited about the new arrival, which is due at the end of the year and have started trying to guess the sex: “Above and beyond all other news, the most exciting thing is my lady Camila and I got another baby on the way… not sure if it’s a boy or girl but we have our instincts… what are you thinking?”
