Cissy Houston Fears Bobbi Kristina Will Die Like Whitney

Cissy Houston is afraid her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown will die in a "haze of drugs and other bad influences" like her mother Whitney Houston if she receives her multi-million dollar inheritance now. The 79-year-old grandmother is reportedly concerned the 19-year-old aspiring actress will be corrupted by the "negative influences" in her life if she gets her hands on the reputed $20 million estate Whitney - who died in February from the effects of heart disease and cocaine use - bequeathed to her.
According to TMZ.com, Cissy is particularly worried her father Bobby Brown and boyfriend Nick Gordon will "drain Bobbi's fortune given half the chance" and she thinks it would be better to withhold the money until she has significantly matured. Bobbi Kristina was named as the sole beneficiary in Whitney's will, which adds to Cissy's concerns that people will want to get their hands on the estate.
During her lifetime, Whitney - who tragically died at the age of just 48 - battled addictions to crack and cocaine and wasted several years of her career because of her drug use. Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby has also had major problems with substance abuse and his marriage to Whitney was tempestuous up until their divorce in April 2007.

Why Bobbi Kristina Didn’t Attend Dad’s Wedding

Bobbi Kristina Houston did not attend Bobby Brown's wedding "because she did not like his partner."
The 19-year-old daughter of the singer and his late ex-wife Whitney Houston, missed the June 18 nuptials to Alicia Etheridge.
"Bobby Brown was desperate for her to go to his recent wedding, but she would not return his calls. Bobby got a go-between to contact Bobbi Kristina to try and persuade her, but she told them she was not going because she did not like Alicia, and that she was [busy] filming her reality show with [aunt] Pat Houston in New York," a source told US Weekly.
The source added that Bobbi Kristina's aunt Pat - Whitney's sister - is doing her best to pose as a parental figure. "She's trying to act like a mother figure. Pat does not like Bobby Brown and was pleased that Bobbi Kristina did not go to the wedding, as she feels that her father will always try and take advantage of her," the insider added.

Whitney Houston’s Daughter Inherits Everything

Whitney Houston has left everything in her will to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
The legendary singer - who was found lifeless in a bathtub in her Beverly Hilton Hotel suite on February 11 - has willed her entire estate, including all of her money, cars, furniture and other personal effects, to her 19-year-old daughter.
According to a 19-page court document obtained by Inside Edition, the will was first set up in 1993, but later amended in 2000 - when she was still married to Bobby Brown - and while the singer is mentioned in the will, he will receive nothing.
The money will be placed in a trust until Bobbi Kristina turns 21 in 2014, when she will receive a chunk of her inheritance. A further portion will then be obtained on her 25th birthday, with the final segment delivered when she hits the age of 30.

Whitney Houston’s Son To Get Money
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Obituaries, Rumors,
Whitney Houston's secret "son" is set to get a share of her $31 million fortune.
The 48-year-old singer - who died two weeks ago - took Nick Gordon into her home in Atlanta, Georgia, when he was a youngster to save him from his troubled background and while she never officially adopted him, she thought of him as her own. Nick, 22 - who would call Whitney "Mom" - also became like a brother to the "I Will Always Love You" hitmaker's 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.
And although Whitney - who battled drink and drug addiction - blew most of her fortune, she is believed to have left $31 million, and her family say Nick will get a share.
"Nick was family, she loved him as much as any mother could love a child. If he is not written into her will and everything goes to Bobbi then it will only be because it was written before she took Nick into her family. If that's the case, Bobbi will make sure Nick is taken care of because it's what her mom would have wanted and he's like a brother," a source told The Sun.
