Kim Kardashian Auctions Clothes for Charity

Kanye West and Kim KardashianKim Kardashian is selling her clothes on eBay to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star has put a selection of items on the auction site in order to raise money for the non-profit organization International Medical Corps to help victims of the devastating cyclone, which has killed more than 4,000 people in the Philippines this month.

However, instead of donating the entire proceeds, she's only giving 10 per cent of the sales to the charity.

The 33-year-old beauty - who has a reported net worth of $65 million - took to her Twitter page yesterday to share the link to her personal website. "Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps, a nonprofit organization that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling to access medical care and basic resources like food, clean drinking water and vital medications. The proceeds will go directly to the communities they're serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives. My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon. Check out my eBay auction here and support those who need our help in the Philippines. Xo. [sic]," she wrote.

Lindsay Lohan Could Lose Stoarge Items

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Clothing, Legal Issues, Rumors,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan faces having some of her prized possessions sold off because she can't pay her bills.

The troubled actress has fallen behind on monthly payments to a storage company, and now owes around $16,000, which could lead to items inside her locker - including designer clothes, family heirlooms and "potentially embarrassing" articles - being sold off at auction if the bill isn't paid by the end of this month. The account has been branded delinquent and the locker can't be opened until the balance is paid off in full.

According to gossip website TMZ, the Liz & Dick star - whose bank accounts have been frozen by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over unpaid taxes of $233,904 for 2009 and 2010 - has asked friends and family to help out with the payment but so far no one has agreed.

Additionally, the Mean Girls star is also said to have enlisted help from her younger sister Ali Lohan, 18, to help sell some of her designer clothes to raise more money.

Elizabeth Taylor Andy Warhol painting was drunk when he bought a painting of Elizabeth Taylor which made him $17.9 million.

The Did You Hear About the Morgans? star purchased the Andy Warhol painting in 2001 for $3.2 million and was praised for his knowledge of the art world when he sold it for $21.2 million in 2007.

But Hugh, 49, has confessed he ordered a member of his staff to bid for the painting at a New York auction during two-days of drinking.

“To my horror, she did, and even worse, got it. It all began with drink. I’d been having a drunken dinner with my father the night before, and I said, ‘We ought to go see my brother Jamie. You know, the Concorde’s amazing,’” he told the Daily Mail. “‘And he said, ‘I hear it is.’ So I bought him a Concorde ticket and we went. We had lunch, drank a lot of beer. And I was thinking about some stuff in the Sotheby’s auction and I saw the Liz Taylor. I slightly regret selling it now, even though it made me rich.”

The pop art painting was one of several portraits Warhol created at the height of his fame and creative output in the 60s.

Someone Else Sues Michael Jackson

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Child Stars, Legal Issues,

Julien's Auction House Michael Jackson collection has even more legal trouble dead than alive - and that’s really saying something.

It all began when Julien’s Auction House put around 170 items up on the block, a Michael Jackson collection that was bid upon by one Richard Lapointe. The auction, however, was canceled. As a result, Lapointe is suing the Jackson estate and the auction house.

The suit contends that Lapointe was the only bidder on 82 items in the collection, and further mentions that he might have been the highest bidder on 88 more items. Since Julien’s sent confirmation of Lapointe’s bid on these items, he thinks he’s entitled to some money.

Marilyn Monroe Crypt

Richard Poncher’s former crypt is quickly becoming the most famous burial spot in the country…at least, it could well be the most expensive. The crypt is located in Beverly Hills at the Westwood Village Memorial Park, specifically in the Corridor of Memories Mausoleum.

Poncher’s widow put the tomb on the market, ostensibly to earn money to pay a $1.6 million mortgage. The housing market being what it is, this was a genius idea. Property values on homes are falling, so just sell off an entirely different type of real estate.
