The Battleship actor was seen getting close with Anne - who has previously dated Maroon 5 hunk Adam Levine - in New York last month and the pair have continued to meet up since.
"They got together about a month ago in New York City and are still hooking up. She's been telling all her friends about him!" a source told Life & Style.
Just last month Alexander was linked to Italian skydiver Roberta Mancino, but he was not keen on pursuing anything serious with her. "He's been courting her and taking her out to dinner a lot. It's not a serious relationship, but they look forward to hanging out together even more. They really like each other," a source said.
Alexander has been somewhat of a hit with the ladies, with "You Da One" singer Rihanna admitting she had a hard time keeping her eyes off him when they filmed Battleship together.

The Maroon 5 singer split from Victoria's Secret star Anne Vyalitsyna two months ago, but has now been spotted kissing Behati Prinsloo - who models for the same lingerie company - in Hawaii. The two women reportedly know each other and starred in the same fashion show, which Adam appeared at for the brand last November.
"Anne and Behati are good friends. Not best, but close enough," a source told US Weekly.
Namibian Behati was spotted talking and flirting with "Moves Like Jagger" singer Adam, who had a big smile on his face at a friend's pre-wedding party earlier this week, before they went in for a kiss. Adam - who also stars as a coach on TV show The Voice - had dated Anne for two years, but they split up in April.

Adam Levine Splits from Girlfriend

Adam Levine and Anne Vyalitsyna have split up. The Voice coach and the Russian-born model have decided to part ways after two years of dating but Anne, 26, claims the couple still "love and respect" each other.
"Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner. We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best," she told People.
"He will always love and cherish her," a friend of the Maroon 5 frontman added to US Weekly.
Adam, 33, and Anne first met at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue release party in Las Vegas in early 2010, where Maroon 5 performed but didn't immediately hit it off. "He thought I was a stuck-up bitch and I kind of thought he was a d*****bag musician," Anne previously said.
Although the couple were rumored to have had a giant bust up earlier this year, speaking in February, Adam said he was determined to make the relationship work: "This is the most functional relationship I've ever been in. I don't want to screw it up."
