50 Cent Avoids Jail in Domestic Violence Case

50 Cent has been given three years probation in a domestic violence case.
The rapper - real name Curtis Jackson - was accused of kicking his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy, the mother of his second child, during an argument at her home in Toluca Lake, California, in June, however, in a sentencing hearing today he avoided jail after striking a plea deal with the court. According to TMZ, prosecutors agreed to drop a criminal charge for misdemeanour domestic violence against the 38-year-old star in exchange for him pleading no contest to one count of misdemeanor vandalism.
50 was given three years probation in court today and ordered to 30 days of community service, as well as counseling. The star was also ordered to pay Daphne $7,100 for the damage caused to her home during the incident.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper originally faced five charges, including one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism, following the incident on June 23. Police officers were called to the property, where Daphne claimed she locked herself in her bedroom after she got into an altercation with 50 but said he kicked down the door and kicked her, resulting in an injury.

Conrad Murray has been released from prison.
The disgraced physician was sentenced to four years in jail for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - but was allowed to walk free this morning after spending less than two years behind bars because of good behavior.
The 60-year-old doctor was secretly released out of a back exit of the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles as it was believed there could be a "safety issue" because a group of Jackson fans were camped outside the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles waiting for him. Murray's lawyer, Valerie Wass, told reporters outside the prison that her client was anxious to "hug his family," and he was planning to get his medical licenses reinstated in California, Texas and Nevada so he can resume his medical career.
"He wants to take some time and see his family. Believe me; after you've been locked up in this place for two years, it's a shock emotionally and physically," she said.

Blake Shelton has slammed new rumors Miranda Lambert is cheating on him.
The Voice judge insists he and the "Over You" singer's marriage is still going strong amid reports they are headed for a "$40 million divorce."
The 37-year-old "Boys' Round Here" hitmaker tweeted on Friday night, "I just read back to back NEW stories that @mirandalambert and I are having a baby, divorcing, cheating and feuding with @cher. Must be true!" He jokingly added, "If it costs 40 million dollars to get a divorce then how will we ever afford it?!!! We had that money set aside for health care!!!"
The couple tied the knot in 2011 and Blake previously claimed he "loved" the constant speculation about the state of their relationship: "I honestly do love it. I just know, to that kind of coverage, if I'm popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff -- that's awesome." But he also admitted that his relationship with Miranda isn't always perfect. "We had our ups and downs for damn sure along the way. I just could not imagine her not being in my life. I just couldn't get over her, I know I can't," he said.

Kim Kardashian has confirmed Bruce Jenner will walk her down the aisle when she marries Kanye West.
The 33-year-old beauty - who has four-month-old daughter North with her new fiance - has put speculation to rest that her stepfather won't give her away on her big day following his split from her mother Kris Jenner after 22 years of marriage. Kim confirmed that Bruce, 63, will walk her down the aisle, much like he did during her 2011 wedding to second husband Kris Humphries.
Bruce was conspicuous by his absence when the entire Kardashian family attended Kim and Kanye's engagement at AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco, California, earlier this week, fuelling speculation he won't be involved in the wedding.
Kim hasn't begun planning the nuptials just yet but she insists she will do whatever the "Power" rapper wants: "We honestly haven't had a moment to talk about it or even breathe, so we haven't really talked about it, but whatever he wants."

Quincy Jones is suing Michael Jackson's estate.
The music producer and close friend of the late King of Pop - who produced some of his biggest hits including "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" - is seeking $10 million from the estate and record label Sony Music Entertainment, claiming that they re-edited Michael's hit songs in order to avoid paying him royalties and production costs.
The 80-year-old music expert believes tracks he produced for the singer have been improperly edited and featured in 2009 musical documentary This Is It and a pair of Cirque du Soleil stage shows which are based on Michael's music. Quincy feels he should have received a producer credit on the 2009 film, which chronicled Michael's preparation for his stage return at The O2 in London prior to his untimely death in June 2009, and he is seeking an investigation into the estate's accounting to determine how much he is owed from the profits of the film and theater productions.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian want a prenup.
The A-list couple plan to keep their financial assets separate when they tie the knot and have allegedly decided to sign a prenup. According to gossip website TMZ, the contract was especially important to Kim, who was always advised to be responsible when it comes to her finances by her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian.
Despite their decision to separate their fortunes - with Kim rumored to be worth $40 million and Kayne $90 million - the pair will reportedly set up a joint account for household expenses.
The "New Slaves" rapper proposed to his reality star girlfriend on her 33rd birthday this Monday, hiring out the entire AT&T park baseball stadium in San Francisco and a 50-piece orchestra for the occasion. The romantic rapper is reportedly planning to personalize their upcoming nuptials by writing his own rhyming vows. "This is very special to him and he wants to make sure everything goes down the way he wants it. He's already been writing his vows, too - that's how seriously he's taking it. It's not going to be anything corny. It's going to come straight from his heart and it's going to be real. It's going to rhyme, know that. That's just how he is. Zac Hanson has welcomed his third child into the world.
The Hanson drummer's wife Kate gave birth to a baby boy named George Abraham Walker on October 17, he has confirmed. "We are very excited to share the addition of George Abraham Walker Hanson to our growing family. Abraham is healthy and we are happily sharing a little down time together as a family," Zac told People.
The couple's latest bundle of joy joins their eldest son John Ira Shepherd, five, and their only daughter, Junia Rosa Ruth, two. The 28-year-old star - who found fame with his brothers Isaac and Taylor in the 1990s following smash hit song "MMMBop" - noted that the tot will go by his middle name, Abraham, and weighed 8 lb, 7 oz at birth.
Earlier this year, Zac gushed that his wife's latest pregnancy was made all the more enjoyable as his eldest children couldn't wait to meet their new brother. "It's fun this time to watch the little ones so excitedly anticipating their new sibling," he said. The latest addition brings Hanson's collective number of children to 10. Zac's eldest sibling and bandmate, Isaac, 32, has two children - Everett, six, and Monroe, four. Meanwhile, 30-year-old Taylor has five children: Ezra, 10, Penelope, eight, River, six, Viggo, four, and eight-month-old Wilhelmina.

Keith Urban has unveiled a new tattoo of Nicole Kidman's name on his arm.
The American Idol judge showed the ultimate declaration of his love for the actress on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, where he unveiled his new inking during a performance to promote his latest album Fuse. Keith made sure no-one missed the romantic gesture by wearing a short sleeved top while he crooned away on his guitar.
The 45-year-old star already had the name of the actress etched onto his right arm in script font, but now sports a re-worked version of the tattoo featuring an additional Celtic design around the original inking.

Mariah Carey has likened her painful shoulder injury to giving birth.
The "#Beautiful" hitmaker has been confined to a sling since July after taking a severe fall and dislocating her shoulder on the set of a music video, and she says the traumatic experience was not too dissimilar to the pain she felt giving birth to two-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
"I feel like I have suffered the toughest experience of my life about several things; one was having twins and anybody who's ever had multiples will know it is one of the most difficult experiences ever but the reward is just beyond - I can't even explain how rewarding having these babies is for me. But yeah, breaking my rib was not festive. Dislocating my shoulder was not a good thing, either."
Earlier this month, the 43-year-old songbird lamented on her tough road to recovery, telling fans her dislocated shoulder has been the "toughest experience" of her life in an emotional open letter posted on her Facebook page. "When people expected me to go, 'Here I am, I'm back and everything's great,' it didn't happen because my hand was still in tremendous pain and it took this long for it to heal," she wrote.

Simon Cowell raised $1 million for charity by singing.
The X Factor judge agreed to put his dignity on the line for a good cause after billionaire Power Rangers creator, Haim Saban, offered to make the huge donation if Simon sang the show's theme tune with him. The 54-year-old British star, whose girlfriend Lauren Silverman is expecting a baby boy in February, delighted the packed room of guests after he accepted the challenge to raise money for Friends of Israel Defense Forces in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.
Midway through his performance, Simon offered to donate $100,000 of his own money if he was allowed to stop. Saban then agreed he could stop singing for $250,000, according to video footage obtained by gossip website TMZ.com.
The music mogul was also recently persuaded to show off his vocal talents by his fellow talent show judge Kelly Rowland during auditions for the X Factor in Denver, Colorado, after being urged to show off his skills after he was less than impressed with one wannabe's attempt at singing 1940s classic "Fools Rush In."
