Russell CroweRussell Crowe had to be picked up by coastguards after getting lost kayaking.

The 48-year-old actor and a friend were stranded on Saturday when they lost their way in the waters off New York's Long Island and had to be ferried to a harbor by a rescue boat. US Coast Guard Petty Officer Robert Swieciki said the pair got lost as the sky darkened and beached their kayaks in Huntington Bay, almost 10 miles east from where they had set out.

The US Coast Guard was patrolling the area, and heard the Noah star call out to them from the shore around 10pm and paddled over to the boat. "He just needed a little bit of help, he just got a little lost. It wasn't really a rescue, really, more of just giving someone a lift," the coast guard said.

Russell - who was described as "grateful and friendly" - later thanked his rescuers on Twitter: "Thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way ... 4 hrs 30 mins, 7m. (sic)"

Brad PittBrad Pitt says he'll never have money.

The Moneyball actor - whose combined wealth with his fiancee Angelina Jolie tops $270 million - thinks he will never have as much cash as he wants. Despite donating money to a string of international charities, he confessed it is impossible to sort global poverty - because there are too many homeless people in the world.

"Listen, it's never enough and it's a whole new set of problems, just with a different scale. I hit the Lottery so I think you need to pass that on," he said. The star - who is currently living in Surrey, England for work with Angelina and their six children - added, "You can't get to every beggar on the street because you end up with nothing in your pocket."

He and Angelina have given millions to good causes over the years through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation. Sometimes the couple and their kids do without store-bought Christmas presents to cut costs. "We try to keep the money spend to a minimum and miss manipulative TV ads. The rule is everyone's got to make something," he said at the time.

Jennifer LawrenceJennifer Lawrence helped a woman who had collapsed in Santa Monica yesterday.

The 21-year-old actress - who is best known for playing Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games - went to the aid of a young woman who had collapsed outside of the star's home in the exclusive Los Angeles suburb, and stayed with her until police officers arrived.

"Lawrence was walking her dog when she saw the juvenile. She stood by as a Good Samaritan until officers arrived and spoke with them. It was a couple of juveniles involved in the incident. It could have been alcohol related. She's okay," said Sgt. Richard Lewis of the Santa Monica Police.

Jennifer was seen helping the young lady with her belongings. However, she was thought to be very concerned for her well-being during the incident.

"Jennifer ran outside her apartment when she heard a girl scream and immediately called 911. When the EMT arrived, she stayed to make sure everything was okay. She was really scared for the girl," an onlooker said. The incident was resolved at the scene and the girl was taken home by a friend.

Mila Kunis with her Marine dateMila Kunis is still in touch with the marine she went on a date with last year.

The actress accepted an invitation sent by Sgt. Scott Moore of the Third Batallion, 2nd Marines to his Marine Corps Ball via YouTube in late 2011, and she admits they continue to speak on the phone occasionally.

"We are still in contact. We email back and forth and spoke on the phone about a month ago!" she said.

The 28-year-old beauty - who has previously stated she does not see herself as attractive despite topping various polls worldwide - believes she continues to keep a good sense of humor about her life thanks to her father Mark: "I was always surrounded by very obnoxious, dry people - my dad included. My dad has the driest sense of humor of anyone I know. When I was little, he made sure that I was going to have a strong backbone, and it developed the sense of humor in me."

Jennifer Lopez and childrenJennifer Lopez wants to adopt. The American Idol judge already has four-year-old twins Max and Emme with estranged husband Marc Anthony but after working with siblings who had been adopted from Ethiopia after their mother died on new movie What to Expect When You're Expecting, Jennifer is considering the "selfless act."

"It's funny because before the movie I never really thought about adoption, I just always wanted to have my own baby and I was so focused on that and it took me a while to have my own. But after the film and during the making of the film when I held those two little Ethiopian twins I fell in love instantly and I can see how somebody can do this, how it is so easy to embrace a child who has nothing. It's a beautiful, selfless act of love and it's something that you go, 'OK, I understand these feelings, I get this.' I almost took those babies home. I fell in love with those babies."

However, right now Jennifer - who is dating backing dancer Casper Smart - says she is kept busy raising Max and Emme: "[Adoption] would be a blessing but I'm focused on doing it right with those two and I've really got my hands full."

President Obama

Celebrities have praised Barack Obama after he announced he supports gay marriage. The president revealed in a new interview that he had changed his mind about same-sex couples legally commiting.

"There have been times where Michelle and I have been sitting around the dinner table and we're talking about their friends and their parents and Malia and Sasha, it wouldn't dawn on them that somehow their friends' parents would be treated differently. It doesn't make sense to them and frankly, that's the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective," he said in an interview with ABC News.

Mila KunisMila Kunis saved the life of a 50-year-old man after he suffered a seizure on Saturday.

The unnamed man was working at the Black Swan star's home when he started choking, coughing up blood and vomiting and then collapsed and Mila had her friend call the emergency services while she put the worker in the recovery position. According to gossip website TMZ, level headed Mila, 28, grabbed the man's head and turned it to the side so he wouldn't choke, while another person stuffed a wallet in his mouth so he wouldn't swallow his tongue. The kind-hearted actress also offered to travel to the hospital in the ambulance with the man but was told it wasn't necessary.

He has since made a full recovery.

Brooklyn DeckerBrooklyn Decker wants to adopt a disabled baby. The 25-year-old actress - who is married to tennis pro Andy Roddick - is planning on expanding her family eventually and has been inspired by her aunt, a Special Olympics athlete.

"I want to adopt a baby with an intellectual disability one day. I mean, that's in the distant future, but that's always been a goal of mine. Unfortunately a lot of kids with intellectual disabilities are given up for adoption when they're born because it's a lot for their family," she said.

However, Brooklyn - who is best known for her roles in movies Battleship and What to Expect When You're Expecting - is not always so confident with her decisions; she has previously confessed to feeling similar to Kristen Wiig's insecure maid of honor character Annie Walker in Bridesmaids: "I feel like her character is my inner soul. The ways she acts are my inner thoughts, but I just can't express them because they're too nerdy. So if he [Andy Roddick] was calling her crazy, I guess that makes me slightly crazy."
