Blogger Perez Hilton has been deeply affected by media stories about teen suicide and gay bullying; so much so that he’s going to do something about it. In a 7-minute video message to his fans, Hilton vowed that he is turning over a new leaf. "I can be doing more...and I have not been."

"I need to do my part…and step up to the plate and do a bigger part,” he explained. "I need to be the solution and not part of the problem,” he said. "I have, on my website, said things that have been hurtful to people. I don't see myself as a bully."

"In the past, I would justify everything as comedy and humor and these are celebrities...but I don't want to have to justify what I do anymore,” Hilton admitted. "I need to change. And I'm going to. Starting today."

Perez promised to no longer call Jennifer Aniston and Rumer Willis names. From now on, he will write "without being malicious or hurtful and nasty.
