“I’ve been the sacrificial lamb in this situation,” Hailey Glassman, 22, said in a recent interview. She’s been dating Jon Gosselin, estranged husband to Kate, and as such she’s been near the center of a brutal media storm. “Before all this, I was happy-go-lucky.”

“I have lost my happiness through this all.” Glassman is the daughter to a plastic surgeon, who just happens to be the guy who did Kate Gosselin’s tummy tuck. According to various interviews, Jon was staying at the good doctor’s home during his marital troubles and Hailey was home for the summer. The hookup ensued - but, Glassman says, after the couple had split up.

Now that Kate 2.0 has been banished to the background of the stage for a while, Hailey Glassman is stepping forward - mostly, to call out TLC. “More like ‘the lying channel,’” she quips of the network, The Learning Channel, that made Jon and Kate bona fide reality stars. Glassman claims the network put a gag order on the martial status of the Gosselins, saying the couple was not allowed to say the marriage was over a year ago.

“It’s a dirty, dirty world,” Glassman offered her view. “I didn’t know any of this would happen,” she says of the media attention.
