Right now crews from Entertainment Tonight and The Insider are somewhere out there trying to get this story straight….

Depending on who you choose to believe, singers Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are either just dating, engaged or already married.  Although the two have been spotted together in the past several weeks, the ‘couple’ has artfully dodged any dating rumors.  Then last Saturday, Mariah appeared at an after party for her new movie (Tennessee) while sporting a large rock on her ring finger.

Fast forward to the gossip craziness of today:

• Earlier this afternoon, Access Hollywood - citing a close source - ‘confirmed’ the two were engaged.
• Later, Latina.com ‘confirmed’ that Mariah, 38, and Nick, 27, had already tied the knot in an impulsive wedding yesterday.
• Now, TMZ sources are telling them that Carey and Cannon (plus other celebs) have arrived in the Bahamas for a possible “significant event.”

I’m just gonna sit back and see what my guy Pat O’Brien has to say on this later.  If he says its so—I’ll believe him.
