Just last night, the Two and Half Men star joked with Conan O'Brien about checking the gossip site to get news about his famously troubled costar. "I'm checking TMZ, as I do every day, to know if I have to go to work at all."

Now, less than 24 hours later after that interview, comes report of another Charlie Sheen-related incident.

TMZ reports that around 7:00 A.M., the CBS star was transported to the hospital via ambulance after experiencing some pain. According to neighbors, the early morning 911 call came after a night of partying at his home. Two women were witnessed exiting the home at the time Sheen was picked up.

"All I know is he was having severe abdominal pains and went to the hospital," Stan Rosenfield, Sheen's publicist, told the media.

This latest news about the 45-year-old comes just over a week after Ricky Gervais joked about him at the Golden Globes. ("It's gonna be a night of partying and heavy drinking -- or as Charlie Sheen calls it, breakfast.") It also comes approximately three months after his now-famous Plaza Hotel incident.

Just a few weeks ago, CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler admitted the network was concerned about their ratings maker -- they just haven't had any problems with him (yet) from a business perspective:

“We have a high level of concern. How could we not? This man is a father. He’s got children. He has a family. So obviously there’s concern on a personal level. But you can’t look at it simplistically. Charlie is professional. He comes to work. He does his job extremely well. It’s very complicated.”

In case you were wondering how Sheen's current hospitalization might affect his work schedule -- it won't. At least, not for now. Two and Half Men is currently on hiatus until next week. (How convenient.)
