Sunday Ratings: TV Movies Can’t Topple Staples
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Ratings,
Make no mistake: The Last Templar is no Da Vinci Code. Last night, the first half of NBC’s two-parter was outmatched by a repeat and a reality weeper. CBS’ Hallmark offering only did slightly better. By night’s end, the Eye network was on top with the viewers while ABC was a winner with the demos.
8pm
- Cold Case (13.3 million, 2.6/6 in 18-49) was up 8% from its last original episode.
- A 2-hour Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (11.6 million, 4.0/10) had the best demos of the night.
- Dateline (7.1 million, 1.9/5) was up 1.3 million.
- The Simpsons (2.6/6) averaged 5.5 million over two episodes.
- CW’s airing of Antitrust (0.3/1) registered 770,000.

MONDAY 1/19)
- The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family, 8pm): “Ricky’s dad arrives in town with a proposal for how Ricky should handle impending fatherhood.” Apparently leaving town is an option?
- House (FOX, 8pm): “Cuddy discovers that caring for her newly adopted baby leaves her little time to run the hospital.” Taking care of House and a baby is an impossible feat.
- Bromance (MTV, 9pm): “The guys embark on a camping trip, but before reaching their destination, they stop at a biker bar where each must face off against a huge biker in the parking lot.” The reality is, many people want to kick Brody Jenner‘s ass. It’s time to hone their defense skills now.
- Paranormal State (A&E, 10pm): Season premiere. “A family believes their new home in suburban New Jersey is haunted. The team’s investigation leads them to dig in the yard for possible answers.” Haunting or no haunting, buried things in my yard is reason enough to move.
