Salma Hayek Set For 30 Rock Return

Salma Hayek has promised to return to 30 Rock.
The actress appeared in the third season of the comedy for a multi-episode arc portraying Elisa, the girlfriend of NBC executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin), and creator Tina Fey has made her commit to a return before the show finishes its seventh and final season.
"I tried to tell Salma Hayek that she has to come back. She said that she would and I'm going to hold her to that," Tina told Entertainment Weekly.
Salma isn't the only star on Tina's "bucket list," she also hopes to lure Michael Sheen, Isabella Rossellini and other guest stars back to the show: "There are going to be people that we've always wanted to have on that we haven't, for various reasons, been able to yet. Or characters we've enjoyed so much that we want to bring back at some point before we leave. I always wanted to get Michael Benjamin Washington back on who played Donald Jordan, the older son. Of course we want to get Dennis Duffy in at some point. I'd love to get Michael Sheen to come back as Wesley Snipes. I'd love to get Isabella Rossellini back because we were reminding ourselves that Jack was married before, and she was a very pivotal character once."

Later this week, Ugly Betty producer Salma Hayek jumps networks to guest on another Thursday night comedy.
Hayek will appear on several episodes of the Emmy-winning 30 Rock to play Colleen Donaghy’s nurse. And like previous star Jennifer Aniston, she’ll also become another one of Alec Baldwin’s love interests.
Make sure to also note February 5th on your calendars. That’s when Jon Hamm is scheduled to start his multi-episode arc as Liz Lemon’s hot neighbor.

Rebecca Romijn Joins Ugly Betty
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, ABC,
Seems Ugly Betty is recruiting more beautiful people. The latest, no doubt to fill the void that Salma Hayek will leave when her story’s up, is Rebecca Romijn. She will take on the role of the mystery woman who is working with Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) to take over Mode magazine. So far, we’ve only seen this mysterious chick wrapped in bandages—who knew that underneath it all was Rebecca Romijn? That unfortunately means curtains for the woman who has been playing the character thus far, Elizabeth Penn Payne.
Romijn is well known as a model, but has also made her mark in TV and film roles, including the X-Men series, Just Shoot Me, and Pepper Dennis.

Salma Hayek Brings Her Beauty to Ugly Betty
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Ratings,
It was only a matter of time, I suppose, before Salma Hayek would step front and center on the show she executive produces, Ugly Betty. Until now, she’s had some fleeting moments on the show in a background soap opera. Her role will encompass multiple episodes, according to an ABC announcement today. Look for Hayek in her first guest star gig on the November 2nd episode—she will appear on three more episodes during November. Hayek will play Sofia Reyes, “a newcomer to the Mode scene who will leave a lasting impression on Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) and Betty Suarez (America Ferrera).” This announcement comes on the heels of the news that ABC ordered a full season of the popular freshman show. It’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon—this is a fun show, and as I reported earlier, America Ferrera brings so much heart to the Betty character.
