Quote of the Day: Madonna on Tonight’s Episode of Glee

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Music, Prime Time, FOX,

Glee on cover of TV Guide

“I thought the Madonna episode of was brilliant on every level. The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I completely appreciated the layers of irony, especially when all those macho boys sang ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl.’ I also loved the fantastic performances of ‘Vogue,’ ‘Express Yourself’ and all the messages about the boys being respectful to girls. The entire cast was amazing. They’re all so talented. I especially loved Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) and Kurt Hummel’s (Chris Colfer) characters. [Show creator] Ryan Murphy did a great job bringing all these elements together. [Daughter] Lola loved the show too. I wish I went to a high school like that…If only.”

- commenting on the the Glee episode featuring her music. (“The Power of Madonna” airs tonight @ 9:00.)

Ryan Seacrest Jokes About Former Idol Co-Host

Brian Dunkleman and Ryan SeacrestDoes anyone wonder what ever happened to co-host Brian Dunkleman? Current host with a million jobs, Ryan Seacrest, took it upon himself to bring this to light when he joked about his former co-worker on this past week’s episode.

Ryan joked that Dunkleman would appear in next week’s special; the audience applauded, failing to sense that Seacrest was joking. Dunkleman didn’t find anything funny about Seacrest’s remark:

“Yeah, I think so, sure—but it was a joke. Well, it was an attempt at a joke. But unfortunately for Ryan, instead of a laugh, he got applause. That’s never really been his strong suit. But it was a joke, and whether it was mean-spirited or not is irrelevant. A joke’s a joke; you can either take it or you can’t.”

No worries from Dunkleman, though—he almost seems numb to the jokes by now:
