Kim Kardashian Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell adores Kim Kardashian. The music mogul is a huge fan of the reality TV star - whose sister Khloe is in the running to be the new host of The X Factor - as he loves her "naughty side" and insists she should be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "She's very cute and has a naughty side. I adore her. They shouldn't have denied her a star on the Walk of Fame," he said.

Simon also has high praise for Kim's boyfriend Kanye West, calling the hip hop musician an "innovator." He said, "I think he's super-talented and an innovator. He knows what he's doing. Plus he's controversial and I like that."

Khloe Kardashian to Host X Factor?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, Gossip,

Khloe KardashianKhloe Kardashian is being lined up to present The X Factor.

The 28-year-old star is one of a number of big names in the running to replace Steve Jones as the host of the pop star search show, including Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez and Stacy Keibler, with boss Simon Cowell keen to have one man and one woman take on the job.

"They're doing the auditions without a host so it's no big deal they don't have hosts right now. Simon really wants to take his time. The two person thing didn't work out the first time and he wants to make sure it works this time," a source said.

Nicole Scherzinger initially hosted the show alongside Steve, but then the "Poison" singer took Cheryl Cole's place on the judging panel after the British singer was given the boot. However, Nicole and fellow panelist Paula Abdul did not return for the second series and were replaced by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

''I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of The X Factor last year. We had a lot of fun making the show together and importantly, we found some real talent and stars. Ratings: Paula Abdul’s Dance Against Cowell-Less American Idol

Paula Abdul, Simon CowellWednesday night was epic for number-crunchers.

Paula Abdul’s new reality series Live to Dance competed for the same viewers in the same time slot as reality standard American Idol -- which no longer has Simon Cowell behind it. So, which reality series fared better?

Sadly, Abdul didn’t do too well. Live to Dance scored about 1 million in the key 18-49 demographic, compared to Idol’s 9.7.

The reality juggernaut is still down among its target audience, continuing its steady decline. But Idol isn't in serious trouble yet . . . and the same can't be said for Paula's Dance act. In the same time slot last year, sitcom reruns managed to pull down more viewers than Abdul’s reality contest.

First Look: Paula Abdul Lives to Judge Dancing

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, CBS, Video,

In just a few short weeks, the judge we all know we missed (for some reason or another) will be back in a center seat.

Paula Abdul, who made news when she decided to leave American Idol, will make her return to reality television on January 4. But this time, she'll be on CBS ... and she won't be focused on singing.

Although Live to Dance will differ from most of the dance competition programs out there -- the series welcomes contestants "in any age group" and from "any form of dancing" -- the show will still feature Abdul's unique ... style ... of ... judging. (Notice the pauses?)

Report: Jennifer Lopez Too Demanding for American Idol

Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler

Did Jennifer Lopez’s diva-like reputation cost her a job on American Idol?

According to a source, yes.

Although it had been reported with near certainty that Lopez was going to be a judge on Idol’s tenth season, FOX execs had yet to confirm the rumors. There’s probably a reason for that: she was never officially locked in. Now, it appears J.Lo may have pushed herself out of the running.

“Her demands got out of hand,” an insider told People. “Fox had just had enough.”

Paula Abdul: Bret Michaels Would Be Awesome Idol Judge

Bret Michaels and Simon Cowell

Paula Abdul may have moved on to a new CBS show, but she still has opinions about how her old program should be judged.

According to the former American Idol fixture, Bret Michaels would make a great replacement for Simon Cowell.

Michaels, who made a surprise appearance during the May finale, has already expressed interest in taking over the coveted spot. “For a lot of these young musicians, I’d be able to give them incredibly awesome and very, very real advice,” the rocker claimed.
