Hellcats: Real-Life Sis Will Play Marti’s Long-Lost Sibling

Who would be perfect to play Aly Michalka’s sister on Hellcats? How about her actual sister AJ? The other Michalka will join the series on Tuesday as Deirdre, a girl Marti meets while searching for clues about her father.

Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka) will find Deirdre at a record store and eventually put the pieces together to make the connection that they’re actually sisters. The revelation leads to some heartbreaking information about Marti’s father. Aly and AJ co-starred together in Disney's Cow Belles, and they front a musical duo named 78violet.

New episodes of Hellcats return to The CW on Tuesday nights.

The girls of Hellcats got catty on Tuesday night’s episode “Fancy Dan.” As the title suggests, this installment marked the return of Dan Patch (Matt Barr), who’s been MIA since the “Think Twice Before You Go” episode that aired back in December.

Fans were reminded right away that Hellcats coach Vanessa Lodge (Sharon Leal) actually has a fiancé, though we can’t remember the last time we saw him. We also learned that he’s in the Army Reserves… and, he’s just been deployed. This new development violently shoved the date of their wedding into the very near future, and Vanessa was forced to confront her unresolved feelings for football coach Red Raymond (Jeff Hephner).

90210: Who’s Leaving the Show?

“I have enjoyed the past few years working on 90210 and adore all of the cast and crew, as well as the team at the CW and CBS TV Studios. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful show.” This statement was released by 90210’s most recently ousted cast member Lori Loughlin, who has been with the show since the series premiere.

And she's not the only casualty. High school teacher Ryan Matthews (played by Ryan Eggold) is also out of the picture, though he's sort of loosely related to Naomi Clarke (AnnaLynne McCord) now.

Sometimes a cancellation can be the best thing to happen to the series.

When was dropped by CW in May 2009, the comedy/drama about football players and their significant others was picked up by . That was a record-breaking move.

The first two episodes of Season 4 averaged 7.7 million viewers—almost 6 million more than it did on the CW—and set a viewership record for sitcoms on cable.

Hellcats Stars Speak Out Again Teen Violence

The stars of - Alyson Michalka (Marti Perkins), Ashley Tisdale (Savannah Monroe), Robbie Jones (Lewis Flynn) and Matt Barr (Dan Patch) - made the above video to speak out against youth violence and to send a very personal message to one of its victims.

Tyler Wilson, 11, joined an Ohio cheerleading program because he thinks the skill will help him get to college…but some of his peers didn’t think it was such a good idea. Wilson endured lots of teasing at the hands of his school mates, but one day it all became much more sinister. Wilson was allegedly attacked after school, physically lifted by another student and thrown on the ground.

90210 Season Three Premiere: Worth the Wait?

Summer’s over, and the West Bev kids have returned to school for their senior year. This was the plot of The CW’s Season 3 premiere, sensibly titled “Senior Year, Baby.” (Watch the first two minutes of the video to hear that line get repeated way too many times).

But did the episode bring all the drama fans expected? Well, there was a natural disaster, a life-altering injury and a rape flashback…and that was just the first ten minutes. The fatal car crash came a few scenes later.

Melrose Place got canceled, 90210 is still on break and Gossip Girl rumors suggest the show may be losing its biggest star. Where can go from here? Straight to Hellcats.

The show revolves around college student Marti Perkins (played by Aly Michalka), who is studying pre-law at Lancer University in Memphis. Perkins finds her college dreams potentially crushed when she learns that her scholarship has been canceled and she has no way to pay for school.

returns to the CW this fall with the Season 3 premiere, scheduled for September 13. New spoilers have revealed that Adrian Grenier (Entourage) will appear on the September 27 episode with his band The Honey Brothers. The episode will center around Naomi Campbell (AnnaLynne McCord), who will be celebrating her 18th birthday.

Earlier in the year, 90210 that one of its main hunks will come to terms with his homosexuality in the upcoming season. We know who it is, and we’ll reveal the name after the jump…

The CW To Offer All-Original Programming

The CWThe CW has added two new dramas to its fall programming schedule, creating the first all-original lineup in the channel’s history. In previous seasons, time slot gaps have been filled with reruns. Nikita and Hellcats have been to the roster of CW shows to round out the schedule.

Monday’s lineup will feature and Gossip Girl, moving the former from its Tuesday slot. One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected will now air on Tuesday. Wednesday’s America’s Next Top Model will be followed by new series Hellcats. (The drama stars High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale as a cheerleading captain.) The Vampire Diaries will continue to air on Thursdays, backed up by action series Nikita. Smallville and Supernatural will then air on Friday nights.
