A long-running Patriots/Steelers game gave CBS the ratings boost it needed to win the entire evening.
8pm
- The Sunday Night Football game between the Colts and the Ravens averaged approximately 13 million (5/10 in 18-49 demo).
- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (12.8 million, 4.4/10) was down almost 2 million from last week.
- The Amazing Race (11.9 million, 3.8/9) saw a 700,000 increase.
- The Simpsons* (3.5/8) raked in 7.6 million; King of the Hill (3.1/7) pulled in 6.5 million.
- Life is Wild (1.17 million, 0.4/1) did about the same.
9pm
- Thanks to Oprah’s influence, For One More Day (12.5 million, 3.2/8 in 18-49) became the fall’s most-watched movie.
- Cold Case (3.0/7) came in second with 11.2 million.
- Family Guy* (3.9/9) scored 7.8 million; a new episode of American Dad (6.48 million, 3.2/7) was up about 900,000 from last week.

MONDAY (12/3)
- The Closer (TNT, 8pm): The special two-hour holiday episode brings Brenda’s parents into the investigative fold. Nothing says Christmas like talking blood with your blood.
- Heroes (NBC, 9pm): (NOTE: This is the last new episode left.) ‘Peter squares off against former friends thanks to Adam’s confusing story about the Shanti virus.’ He shouldn’t fault Adam; the confusing storyline is to blame.
- K-Ville (FOX, 9pm): ‘Boulet and Cobb investigate an insurance adjuster’s murder.’ As if there weren’t enough people in New Orleans with a motive.
- Life (NBC, 10pm): (First half of the two-parter; 2nd half airs Wednesday). ‘Evidence points to Reese’s father in the murders that sent Crews to prison.’ I’m guessing this won’t be resolved anytime soon…otherwise, we wouldn’t have a show.
