Lenovo IdeaCentre C100 will soon have touchscreen functionality

Lenovo has just released its latest nettop, the IdeaCentre C100.  The C100 uses an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 2GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and includes a DVD burner.  The display is a 20-incher, and and once Windows 7 launches, they’ll even sell a touchscreen model.  You’ll have to settle for Windows Vista for the time being, and the price is about $400, with Wi-Fi and webcam as optional add-ons.

Google Announces Chrome OS Partners, includes Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo

Ever since the Google Chrome OS was announced, many have been wondering which partners would be working with Google to release new devices based on the ambitious operating system. As it turns out, Google is answering those questions, releasing a short list of partners that they’re working with.

Today, Google has announced that they’re partnering with Acer, Adobe, ASUS, FreeScale, Lenovo, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, QUALCOMM, Hewlett-Packard (HP.)

Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds w/ Dual Screen

Lenovo has unveiled the first laptop with double LCD screens. The ThinkPad W700ds will make its debut at the CES 2009, and has both a 17-inch and 10.2-inch display that can tilt up to 30º. Their “mobile workstation” weighs 4.98 kilos and holds up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. Choose between an Intel Core 2 Quad processors and a Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M GPU with CUDA parallel processing. With about 2 hours of battery life, it also features a built-in WACOM digitizer electronic drawing pad. Expect to pay a pricey $3,600.00.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10

Lenovo is joining the ranks of companies that believe thin is in. Their IdeaPad S10 is powered by Intel Atom N270 and 945 GSE chipsets that run at 1.6GHz. It also features a 10-inch screen, a multi-touchpad, a 1.3M cam, a 4-in1 card reader, and a pair of stereo speakers. Choose between black/white and red and expect prices of $399.00 for 512MB and 80GB HDD and $450.00 for 1GB with 160GB HDD. Look for the S10 to debut in October.
