mozPod: Sync Thunderbird and Sunbird Contacts To iPod
mozPod is a project to bring iPod synchronization to Mozilla products such as Thunderbird and Sunbird. mozPod version 0.1 was just released yesterday, and so far it seems to be working very nicely with Thunderbird. Of course, the download is free, and the software works with iPods using the latest software. This one works great on both Macs and PCs.

How does the friggin thing work? no menu on Thunderbird, no menu in itunes… What am I missing? Oh and dont bother telling me I am a twit, I already know this, but can you steer this twit to the answer instead of calling me what I already know I am.
Cheers!

Software works great for contact sync. I love how it’s automatic.

ok. so you install mozpod as another extension on thunderbird/sunbird. once you restart thunderbird, an ipod setup wizard will come up. follow the instructions on the setup wizard, and restart thunderbird, and it should sync.
notes from experience:
i am running ubuntu hardy heron (8.04), and it does not seem to work.
i used to run it in windows xp, and it worked fine. the only issue i had was that sometimes the calendar would erase itself, so check after you eject to see if the calendar is actually there.
other than that, it’s a pretty good little add-on
