On Gear Live: Samsung S95C: The OLED TV You Can’t Afford (to Ignore!)

LaKendra Tookes and Leslie Jones

Saturday Night Live is finally making changes in the writer's room that have been a long time coming.

While the addition of Sasheer Zamata to the cast was a start, the news seemed more like a publicity stunt to appease the backlash that arose when SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels simply said that casting a black comedienne "will happen" when questioned about it back in November. Now, hiring two female writers, on the other hand, seems more like a step forward towards diversity (both in the non-white and non-male regard).

Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman on the set of 'Doctor Who'

Although the world first met the 13th Doctor, Peter Capaldi, in last year's Doctor Who Christmas special, the BBC has offered fans more of a glimpse of him (clearly to appease us for the long-awaited season premiere of the sci-fi series).

Holding his script next to Jenna Coleman - who plays the Doctor's current companion, Clara Oswald, in the show - Capaldi is seen wearing the same outfit from the cliffhanger of the Christmas special (the very one the Twelfth Doctor, Matt Smith, regenerated in).

'The Voice' UK judges

Will.i.am persuaded Kylie Minogue to sign up as a judge on The Voice.

The Black Eyed Peas star interrupted a meeting between BBC bosses and the "Spinning Around" hit-maker in a bid to convince the Australian pop singer to accept a role on the panel alongside fellow judges Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson. "I was considering it and I didn't I know what the answer was. Then I had a meeting in LA and Will.i.am bombed the meeting. I had just one question to Will - how was the experience? He said he loved it, so I thought, 'OK, that's cool,'" Kylie recalled.

Kristin Cavallari and Audrina PatridgeIn a shocker to us all, Audrina Patridge has come out to say that her reality show The Hills was not always real.

"In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided and you're kinda put in these scenarios where you would show up and you didn't know what you were in for until you were there, and you wanted to run out but they lock the door on you," Patridge said. She went on to cite a specific example with her small sreen "nemesis" Kristin Cavallari:

"I actually had to leave early for another event, we were there for about three hours and they were like, 'You can't leave until you and Kristin get into a fight.' So I'm like, 'Oh my God, Kristin!' Kristin's like, 'Let's do it.' I'm like, 'OK, c'mon.' It was about Justin [Bobby] and we did it and we got to leave."

Lamar OdomLamar Odom is worried his alleged drug use and infidelities will be addressed on the new series of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The basketball player was left heartbroken after his wife Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce last month, and he's now concerned he will be portrayed in a negative light on her reality TV show as the break-down of their marriage will feature heavily on the program.

"The last thing Lamar needs in his life is to be portrayed as a schmuck. Khloe has assured him that it won't be bad, but how can it not be? The end of the marriage is going to be Khloe's main storyline next season and Lamar is afraid that his drug use and cheating will be addressed on the show. At the same time, he is trying to make a career comeback and he thinks this is going to hinder and hurt those efforts. He feels he's going to be used to get ratings for the Kardashians," a source said.

Seth MeyersHow will Seth Meyers run things on his Late Night show when he takes over the reigns from Jimmy Fallon?

For one thing, the former Weekend Update anchor hints that he'll be putting his own mark on the talk show: "I like that everyone before me has established this as a place to try things out. It's 12:35 at night. You can do crazy stuff."

Past co-workers and Saturday Night Live co-stars are offering up their speculations, too. "The defining thing with him is his intelligence and curiosity," SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels said.

Former Weekend Update co-anchor Amy Poehler points out that viewers can expect great interviews from Meyers: "He enjoys bringing the best out of people. Maybe it's his improv training, but he really knows how to make other people look good."

Candace Cameron BureWith talks of a Dawson's Creek and Friends reunions, why not throw in talk about a Full House one?

Candace Cameron Bure - who played DJ on the 90's sitcom - is voicing her desire to see the Tanner family back together on television. "Everyone talks about it and we've all talked about it. But who knows?... It'd be really fun. I've always said I'd be up for it if it happens," Bure said while appearing on Good Morning America.

The mother of three has previously mentioned wanting to see a Full House reunion, telling Us Weekly in November, "It's been thought about for a long time. A lot of things would have to work out for that to happen. I keep saying, never say never."

Lori Laughlin, who played Aunt Becky in the series, isn't as keen on the idea: "If it were a really good script and a great project but sometimes I think that it's better off to leave those TV shows as they were and not do reunion shows."

Luke GrimesTrue Blood fans might be a little confused when they tune in next summer.

Luke Grimes - who first appeared in last summer's season six as Jessica's (Deborah Ann Woll) love interest James - will not be returning for the series' final season. Instead, his role will be recast. It has been reported that Grimes asked to be released from his contract early because he didn't like the direction in which his character's storyline was headed.

His character, James, and Woll's Jessica met while held in a vampire detainment facility, which saw them released from it together in season six's finale.

There's no word yet as to who will fill in Grimes' shoes as James on the hit vampire drama, but the show is due to begin production next month for season 7.

Grimes will next be seen as Christan Grey's (Jamie Dornan) brother Elliot in the highly-anticipated film Fifty Shades of Grey.
