Moment of Truth

(You can view the whole Revamped TV Programming Schedule here.)

MONDAY (1/21)
  • Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  “T-Bag enlists Bellick to display his gladiatorial skills once again as the battle between Lechero and Sammy for control of Sona comes to a head.”  If they can’t beat , FOX will encourage its characters fight like ‘em.
  • Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann (ABC, 8pm):  “Viewers cast their first vote for their favorite teams after they perform live song-and-dance routines.”  They’ve finally reached the phase I actually care about.
  • Wildfire (ABC Family, 9pm):  Season 4 premiere.  I have absolutely no idea what this show is about, but it sounds like a trashy romance novel.  Oh wait - this is a family channel.  Never mind.
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm):  “John and Cameron try to fit in a new school.”  Is an education really the most important thing for John at this point?  Shouldn’t he be honing his street smarts or something?

Monday Ratings: Howie Mandle Takes on the ‘Terminator’

It was highly doubtful that could maintain its monster-sized numbers from Sunday, but I don’t know if many expected what happened last night.  It wasn’t a group of that brought the show down to size, but rather a comedian and his bevy of suitcase-toting ladies.

Prison Break

9pm

10pm

  • About 14.7 million watched and the showgirl on (4.2/11 in 18-49).
  • (9.5 million, 3.3/9) was basically even with last Monday.
  • About 4.9 million traveled down (2.0/5).

This Week on TV (1/14-1/20)

American Idol

(You can view the whole Revamped TV Programming Schedule here.)

MONDAY (1/14)
  • Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  Season resumes.  “Michael suffers the consequences of solitary confinement, Sona-style.”  I hate to think we left him in there these past few months.
  • Kyle XY (ABC Family, 8pm):  Second season resumes.  “Kyle returns to the Tragers to tell them truth about his existence.”  Maybe should consider stealing this show to fill their schedule.  Otherwise, I’ll never get around to watching it.
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm):  Regular day and time.  “John grows restless and sneaks out of the house to track down Charley Dixon.”  Maybe they should have recast .  He would have filled this punk role perfectly.
  • CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm):  Actress guest-stars as Horatio’s ex and Kyle’s mother.  Wouldn’t it have made more sense if she was on the regular ?  Then they could have linked it back to her years.

Writers Strike: Changes For ‘24’ and ‘Prison Break’

Prison Break The will obviously be doing a number to all the network schedules.  Here are two big highlights announced today by FOX:

Not wanting to interrupt only halfway through its day, the execs have decided to delay its premiere altogether.  Season 7 had been scheduled to start Jan. 13/14; now the debut is on indefinite hold.  If nothing else, maybe this will allow to serve his entire jail sentence all at once.

Speaking of jail, the boys at will now be returning to the airwaves sooner than expected.  The show was originally slated to end its fall run on Dec. 17th and return April 14th; it will now start its Christmas break after Nov. 12’s episode then return on Jan. 14th.

This Week on TV (11/5-11/11)

Real Housewives

**NBC will devote this whole week to the environment and inject something ‘green’ into all their shows.  To enjoy it, we must turn on our TVs.**

MONDAY (11/5)

**Special times for the ABC lineup tonight; Dancing With The Stars runs until 9:45 (pushing everything else 15 minutes late).**

  • Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  Two-hour episode.  Michael finally learns that Sara has been murdered tonight.  I’m curious to see how steely his eyes can get.
  • Everybody Hates Chris (CW, 8pm):  ‘When Chris joins the writing staff of the school newspaper, he makes up a story about a serial killer that causes a panic in the community.’  This is what people get when they don’t pay for a real newspaper.
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8pm):  ‘Marshall learns Lily’s dirty little financial secret when he and she decide to buy an apartment.’  As Suze Orman would say: “If he didn’t realize how many pairs of shoes she had, he’s equally to blame.”
  • The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8:30pm):  ‘The guys ask Penny to join their ‘Halo’ team.’  The only time boys ask me to play Halo is when they need someone to kill.

Three Years of Prison Time for ‘Prison Break’ Star

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Drama, FOX, Prison Break, News,

Lane Garrison, who starred as ‘Tweener’ in better years, was formally sentenced today to 40 months behind bars.  The actor, who was involved in a fatal car accident back in December 2006, could have seen up to 6 years.  Garrison, 27, had been partying with teenagers right before crashing a Range Rover into a tree.  A 17-year-old male was killed in the incident; two 15-year-old girls were also injured.

Garrison, who did receive credit for time already served, pleaded guilty in May to vehicular manslaughter (without gross negligence) and two other alcohol-related charges.  In addition to his jail sentence, he was ordered to pay nearly $300,000 in restitution to the victims’ families.

Prison Break: Women’s Edition?

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Drama, Prime Time, FOX, Prison Break,

Prison Break Huh. This is interesting news— is planning to spinoff into a women’s prison series. I don’t know. Prison Break lost me sometime in the middle of the second season. After the gang escaped, I just wasn’t that interested in seeing how it was all going to turn out. My husband has continued to watch this season and assures me that this year is better than the last, but I’m not a beliver. Plus, I’m kinda done with listening to whispery soft, always calm and collected character. I mean, does this guy ever get freaked out? Anyway, back to the women’s prison. The spinoff is tentatively called , and will feature a new character (Molly) who will be introduced on Prison Break. The guys behind Prison Break, executive producer Matt Olmstead and co-executive producer Zack Estrin, will write the script. No word yet on who will play Molly or when this season she’ll show up… sounds kinda sorta vague, no? But wait, there’s a Plan B—if Cherry Hill doesn’t get the green light, Molly will continue on Prison Break as a regular. Which is more than can be said for Dr. Sara Tancredi, whose head was last seen in a box.
