Emotional Season 1 End for Glee

Laughter and tears filled the Season 1 finale of Glee, the year’s most talked-about new series. The episode, “Journey,” saw the culmination of everything that’s been building all season: the highly-anticipated Regionals competition featuring the final showdown between feature Glee club New Directions and rival Vocal Adrenaline, the solution for Quinn and her baby, the confrontation between Will and Emma and even a surprising final-act twist involving tough-as-nails cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester.
It was absolutely, positively fabulous. Read on only if you’ve already seen it - or, don’t mind a bunch of spoilers!

- King of Dirt (DIY, 9pm): “A couple celebrate their wedding anniversary by having the front yard of their home landscaped.” For their first anniversary, it was their bodies they had landscaped.
- Kendra (E!, 10pm): “Kendra works on her tell-all autobiography, which Hank believes is too revealing.” He thinks she should just stick to picture books.
- True Beauty (ABC, 10pm): Season premiere. “Ten contestants pose in lighted glass cases on the Las Vegas strip, thinking they’re competing for the title ‘The Face of Vegas,’ while actually both their outer and inner beauty are being judged.” The contestants, like Vegas, have a stylish exterior but are vacant inside.

Sneak Peek: Glee Goes Gaga

Fans of the fashionable and catchy songstress Lady Gaga will be happy to see a nice tribute from Glee this week, as the cast will sing their renditions of “Bad Romance” and “Poker Face” tonight on Fox—complete with her trademark outfits!
“This episode is a tribute to her genius. The costumes are not replicas; we wanted it look like the kids made them,” said costumer Lou Eyrich.
Of the outfits include her orbital Armani dress worn to the Grammys, the bubble dress, her “Bad Romance” Alexander McQueen look (complete with custom armadillo heels!), and her Kermit the Frog-inspired stuffed animal piece. Check out a video after the jump of the costumes in action!

Will Susan Boyle Guest Star on Glee?

Rumors are circulating that YouTube phenomenon Susan Boyle may make a guest appearance on Glee, FOX’s scripted musical hit. The powers-that-be on the show are trying to get Boyle signed up for Season 2’s Christmas episode. But…what role would she play?
“I have two words for you: Lunch Lady,” said show co-creator Ryan Murphy. “I think Kurt [played by Chris Colfer] would just die to give her a Christmas makeover. I don’t even know if she’s interested, but it’s been pitched.”
No worries there. Boyle - or at least, Boyle’s management - is likely to be interested. Glee has already lined up big guest stars over its successful first season, and it’s the most buzzworthy new show of the year.
Even if Susan Boyle doesn’t stop by Glee to brighten the holiday, Gleeks have nothing to fear: a Christmas album will be released in time for gift-giving season.

Glee Picked Up For Third Season

FOX has already ordered a third season of musical mega-hit Glee, the #1 new scripted show among the 18-49 demographic. A statement from FOX lauds the series - which averages 9.4 million viewers per episode - as a “global pop culture phenomenon.”
FOX’s President of Entertainment was happy to announce that the network “couldn’t be more thrilled to give Gleeks a third season of their favorite show.”
This week’s episode will feature music from Lady Gaga and costumes inspired by the same. The first season finale of Glee will air on June 8.
Season 2 (already award-winning) will air Tuesdays at 8 in the fall.

Carol Burnett Not Interested in SNL Facebook Campaign

The 100,000+ Facebook fans who have campaigned to get Carol Burnett on Saturday Night Live might be a little shocked to hear this news: the comedienne has no plans to do her Tarzan yell on the show.
Although Facebook supporters were successful in getting Betty White a hosting gig on the NBC program, Carol says she doesn’t want to follow in the Golden Girl’s footsteps. “No one can top Betty,” the 77-year-old explained. “Why even try to be an imitator? You just can’t.”
If Burnett’s fans are willing to go a different route, the Emmy award-winner says 30 Rock and Glee are high on her list. “Oh, I would definitely do [Glee]. I’d do whatever they wanted me to, but I’d like to have a few scenes with Jane Lynch. I love her.”
