Celebrity Double-Take: Kelly Rutherford vs. Kelly Rowan

Kelly RutherfordKelly Rowan

Okay - it’s now time for another one of my random celebrity pairings.  Today, we have Gossip Girl’s (on the left) with The O.C.‘s (on the right).

In addition to looking alike, these ladies have several other similarities.

  • Both women are obviously named Kelly.
  • Both have the initials K.R.
  • Both actresses play(ed) rich mothers on a -produced show.  (Which completely threw me off because I once thought Kelly Rowan had shifted from CA to New York.)

This Week on TV (12/17-12/23)

Gossip Girl

MONDAY (12/17)
  • (ABC, 8pm):  The first of six-airings this week.  In this game show, the contestants ‘challenge each other’s intellect and skill, but a single wrong answer disqualifies them from trying for the $1.5 million prize.’  Seriously - if a show is going to be named ‘Duel’, it should involve body blows.
  • (NBC, 8pm):  This four-part series brings us Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey and Kelly Rowland.  Surprisingly, this combo is not part of some program.
  • (ABC, 9pm):  “Eric must organize a baby party without ruining friendships.”  His pals are all hoping they don’t have to come.
  • (NBC, 10pm):  “Dan is sent to rescue a mother and son in an RV hanging from a cliff.”  Just for clarification—do his travels always predate the existence of 911?

ANTM Cycle 9: “The Girl Who Becomes America’s Next Top Model”

ANTM

This week we were down to the Final Three: Saleisha (the bubbly chick), Chantal (the girl-next-door) and Jenah (the sarcastic one).  Since there were two eliminations to be made in this episode, things got off to a very quick start.

For their last shoot of the competition, the ladies met with Jay Manuel and the rep from CoverGirl.  It was time for the girls to do their requisite print ad/commercial for the cosmetics company.  The eventual winner of the competition would have her still photo used in the national advertising campaign for CG’s new Wet Slicks Fruit Spritzers.

Before things got underway, the semi-finalists got a surprise visitor: Jaslene.  The Cycle 8 champion was there to provide a few inspirational words…and to prove that anyone, regardless of their nasally accent, could become a spokesmodel.  Why haven’t her speaking skills improved over the past year?
