Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
30 Rock: If James Franco doesn’t watch out, he might start liking this TV thing and never turn back. The Milk star has not only lined up a stint on General Hospital, he will also appear as himself on the Emmy-winning comedy. Although NBC would not confirm the casting, it’s believed James will have a faux celebrity romance with Jenna (Jane Krakowski).

Could the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards be another year for firsts?
Around this same time last September, the execs of basic cable were thrilled to see one of their own finally win the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series (Mad Men). Meanwhile, producers of reality fare saw an award given to one of their hosts (Jeff Probst). So which other category could be covered during this round? Animation.
For the first time since 1961 (when The Flintstones were still on air), an animated program has been nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. So will Family Guy finally go where The Simpsons has never gone before? Not if the six other contenders have anything to say about it!
So who won? Who lost? Which funnyman took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor since Jeremy Piven wasn’t even nominated? Read our West Coast play-by-play account of this evening’s telecast and find out!

Props from ABC’s Lost Up for Auction
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, Lost, News,

As hard as it may be to admit, Lost will soon be coming to an end. But a piece of that show could stay with you forever.
Come next May, key props from the ABC series will be put up for auction. And this Thursday, lucky attendees at the Comic Con gathering in San Diego will get an early preview.
Several of those future collectibles include Hurley’s winning (yet apparently cursed) lottery ticket, Charlie’s guitar, Mr. Eko’s club, the letter Sawyer wrote to Mr. Sawyer, Locke’s hunting knife and Kate’s toy plane. Articles of clothing and set pieces will also go to the highest bidder.

Bright and early this morning, Chandra Wilson and Jim Parsons announced the nominees for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.
Just like last year, we saw many first-timers named and a long list of cable acknowledgements (for both pay and basic channels). Thanks to expanded categories, we also saw a number of surprises (Flight of the Conchords, Family Guy) and overdue nominations (How I Met Your Mother, Big Love).
For the second year in a row, Mad Men, with its 16 nominations, topped all drama programs. Meanwhile, 30 Rock broke comedy records with a whopping 22 noms. Overall, HBO was the most-nominated network with 99 mentions while NBC - yes, NBC - came in second.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris on Sept. 20 on CBS.

Lost Season 6 to be one hour longer than expected
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, Lost,

This is good news for fans that love Lost so much that they can’t wait for the next season, but hate the fact that it’s the last, can take a bit of solace in the fact that season six will go one hour longer than originally planned. According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello on Twitter, “ABC confirms that Lost’s sixth and final season will total 18 hours, including two-hour premiere and two-hour finale.”
We still don’t want Lost to ever end, but hey, at least it’s something!

LOST News
Posted by David Torres Categories: Prime Time, ABC, Lost,
I just saw on Newsarama the teaser trailer for a new version of the old classic sci-fi show V. I clicked on the link to check it out and to my surprise, guess who will be staring in the new show? None other than Elizabeth Mitchell aka Juliet Burke from “LOST”. So what does that mean? Does Ms Mitchell do double duty or does it mean what I think it means and that the character of Juliet is indeed dead. That sucks if it turns out to be true.
I love the Juliet character. I really wanted to see her character happy with Sawyer and now it seems she’s dead. But what does that mean for the show? Is she gone because time has been changed and Oceanic Flight 815 lands safely in L.A.? Or was the flash of white light we saw at the end of the episode mean time travel and the remaining Losties have traveled back to 2007 as some people have hypothesized.
Another clue, another mystery and eight more months of guessing.

LOST Review: The Incident, Season 5 Finale
Posted by David Torres Categories: Prime Time, ABC, Lost,
Well, the season finale of Lost is finally here and now the wait begins for the final season next year. So what happened? A lot! But before we get to that, I would like to rate this season finale up against previous Lost season finales. I wouldn’t say it was the best out of all the season finales we’ve seen from this show. I think “Through the Looking Glass,” which was the season finale of season three, is hands down the best the show has ever done. Still this episode was very good and gave viewers a major revelation that we’ve been wondering about for some time. By the end of this episode, the question all of us will be asking is where do we go from here? How will the story continue? How much has changed? Let the speculation begin, but first a more detailed review of season five’s two-part finale “The Incident.”
Spoilers…..........................................................
