The Simpsons Show Love for South Park

If you caught the opening of The Simpsons on Sunday night, you saw the network show throw a little love toward their animated cable channel brethren - courtesy of Bart Simpson’s running opening gag.
On the ever-changing school chalkboard, Bart delivered a clear message to the South Park creators, who received death threats last week following a controversial episode of the series.
The message from The Simpsons? “South Park - We’d stand beside you if we weren’t so scared.” Classic.

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
The Young and the Restless: Is CBS prepared for a visit from The Hoff? Later this June, David Hasselhoff will make a return to the show that helped launch his career. David will reprise the role of Dr. William “Snapper” Foster, Jr., his character on the soap from 1975 to 1982. “Being asked to come back to appear in several episodes gives me a chance to say thanks,” Hasselhoff said. “I just hope I can remember all those lines.”

VIDEO: Heidi Montag Talks About Her Plastic Surgery Decision

“I think I just wanted to be…happier. And I couldn’t fix who I was, being upset with how I looked on the outside,” Heidi Montag Pratt used these words while explaining her decision to have plastic surgery while dining in a fine restaurant with her family. Unfortunately, Heidi couldn’t really eat her food - her jaw was too sore after she chose to have ten procedures in one day.
In the video, Heidi’s self-esteem is called into question - though Montag didn’t cotton too well to the comments. Watch the scene (which is from MTV’s The Hills) in the video above.

Two-Part South Park Wraps on an Uneven Note
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Animation, Comedy, Prime Time, Cable, Gossip, Video,
Update: Turns out I was wrong. Skip to the end to find out how.
Fans of South Park noticed a striking change in the second half of the “200/201” episode, which gained some attention from a radical Muslim website earlier this week. In the first half of the episode, which aired April 14, a battle developed over ownership of Mohammed. A group of celebrities including Tom Cruise, Rob Reiner, Oraph Winfrey and every other celeb who’s ever been depicted on the show battled a group of gingers who were previously featured in a South Park episode of their own. The two groups began warring over him because they wanted his power. In the episode, the show’s two hundredth, Mohammad was shown wearing a bear costume because his image cannot be depicted.

| Bernie Goldberg Fires Back | ||||

The ongoing war between Bernie Goldberg, FOX News contributor and frequent guest on O’Reilly Factor, and Jon Stewart, late-night Comedy Central variety show host, just got hilarious…though there’s probably zero chance that FOX News will find it so. It all started, according to Stewart, when he told FOX News to “go [expletive deleted] themselves” on his April 19 installment of The Daily Show.
Goldberg fired back during one of his visits to O’Reilly (Papa Bear to Stephen Colbert fans), calling Jon Stewart a “funnyman” who only wants to crack jokes before an audience. “But if, clearly, you want to be a social commentator…you better find some guts,” Goldberg addressed his comments directly to Stewart.
On his April 20 show, Stewart had plenty to say in response to Bernie Goldberg - and by extension, everyone at FOX News.

TV Talk: Doctor Who Sets Records, Steven Seagal Shut Down
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, Cable, Syndication, News, Ratings, Rumors,
-Reboots can be successful in the theaters and on television. Saturday’s debut of Doctor Who gave BBC America it’s largest audience to date. The premiere also earned the channel it’s best numbers in the 25-54s.
-Vice President Joe Biden will likely have to address his “big f**king” gaffe when he sits down with the ladies of The View next week. Biden will appear on Monday as part of the show’s “Red, White & View” series.
-There’s a slight possibility that Ugly Betty will live on on the big screen. “It’s something that we’ve been talking about and it’s something that America Ferrera would really love to do. That woman has so much determination that I can’t imagine anything she puts her mind to not getting done,” actress Ana Ortiz (Hilda Suarez) said.
-Production on Steven Seagal Lawman has been indefinitely shut down in light of a civil lawsuit filed against the reality show’s star. Kayden Nguyen, a former assistant to the star, has accused Steven Seagal of sexual harassment and is asking for $1 million.
