Queen LatifahGeorge Clooney may have organized the first major Haiti fundraiser, but it wasn’t the last one.

Later this week, - with help from Sean Combs and Pharrell - will host another star-studded benefit event. The telethon, which is being presented by BET, will air across multiple channels including MTV, VH1 and Centric.

Wyclef, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Akon, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke and India.Arie will be among the participants.

SOS Saving OurSelves - Help for Haiti will air from Miami at 8:00 on Friday night.

  • CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm):  “A convicted killer () on death row receives a 24-hour stay of execution after doubt is cast on his guilt.” New evidence suggests he may have been given that girl’s underpants.
  • Hoarders (A&E, 10pm):  “A firefighter whose home overflows with his possessions.” That’s just a fire waiting to happen! Oh -  maybe that’s the point.
  • Damages (FX, 10pm):  “Patty and Phil, locked in their bitter divorce battle, find one piece of common ground: their dog.” Phil - if you love the dog, just give it to her. Trust me.

President Obama took over TV on Wednesday night to deliver his first State of the Union address, wisely scheduling his speech to occur after American Idol (which has a higher approval rating). As Vice President Joe Biden and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi arranged themselves in their special seats, First Lady stood poised with a large contingent of service professionals who were on hand to hear the speech. It was business as usual, but there was no hiding the charged atmosphere. Barack Obama’s first State of the Union has been a long-anticipated event…as is the change the country had hoped to see.

The President entered the room to a smattering of applause, smiling as he shook hands on his way up the aisle. Once he was finally in position, he handed copies of the speech to the other two highest-ranking political figures in our land - a speech which is also obtainable as a matter of public record.   • Damages (FX, 10pm):  Season premiere. “A court has appointed Patty to recover assets lost in a Ponzi scheme orchestrated by Louis Tobin (Len Cariou) while Ellen is working for the DA’s office, which will prosecute him.” Ahh - there’s nothing like the smell of a fresh backstab in the morning.
