Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe there’s a difference between “midseason” and “in the middle of the holiday season.”

Although ABC surprised many followers when they renewed Scrubs for a ninth season, the network did something not so surprising to the show: They buried it.

Instead of waiting until after the holiday craziness died down, ABC chose to bring back the comedy during the height of the shopping season. Now the program - which will shift focus from the hospital to the classroom - will have a one-hour debut on December 1.

Better Off Ted, Scrubs’ companion piece last season, will then follow with its premiere on December 8.
