My alma mater, the University at Albany finally has something to be proud of sports-wise.  They will be going to the big dance, the NCAA tournament, as a result of their winning the America East Conference championship.  The Great Danes got the victory on their home court, defeating last year’s champ Vermont.  The final score was 80-67, with Jamar Wilson leading the way with 29 points.  The Albany Danes made the jump to Division I in 1999, but this was the first year they’ve had any type of success in the America East conference. Congratulations to the Great Danes, today I am one of many proud alumnus of the University at Albany.
