Katy Perry’s ‘Fun’ Marriage to Russell
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Music, Divorce, Features,
Katy Perry says her marriage to Russell Brand was "extremely fun."
The "Part of Me" singer - who split from the actor in December after being married for just 14 months - says while their relationship didn't work out, she enjoyed most of their time together.
"Mostly it's about how I go there and the ride along the way which can be bumpy but mostly it was extremely fun," the 27-year-old beauty said, speaking about her new movie Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D, which documents her time with Russell.
Katy - whose divorce from Russell will officially made final next month - says she decided to document her failed marriage in the film to show people she's not perfect: "I thought it was important for me. First of all, I thought it was important to show everything in between. I think sometimes people think that we're perfect and we know we're not perfect, at all. I think it's important start breaking down the idea that to achieve your dream you always have to be perfect or flawless or live in some kind of fantasy world. So that's why I decided to put everything into the film... in the most tasteful way."

Soundgarden Didn’t Plan Their Reunion
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Reunions, Rock,
Soundgarden never intended to reunite.
The group recently got back together after splitting 16 years ago and frontman Chris Cornell admits the reunion only came about when they held meetings to discuss ways of reconnecting with their fans online.
"The idea originally wasn't to restart the band. We got back into a room just to think about ideas of reconnecting with our fans, like starting a website again and starting the fan club again. But after the first five minutes of seeing if anyone had changed or gone weird had passed, it felt really comfortable," Chris said.
The 47-year-old rocker also insisted the group haven't reunited for financial reasons and says they are looking forward to making music in their own way: "We're back for the right reasons. No one is trying to go for the quick money. Now we don't have to try to be like anyone. We are who we are and we do what we want."
Soundgarden play the Download festival on June 10 and Hard Rock Calling on July 13.
Boy George Thinks Pop Records are Too Similar
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Reunions, Upcoming Releases, Pop,
Boy George thinks all today's pop records sound the same.
The "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" singer thinks today's crop of pop stars are more interested in personal gain than making a difference to the world, and most of their records are boring as a result.
"Pop, I think, just goes in waves, and I think technology kind of makes everyone make the same record. I think the problem at the moment, and has been for a while, is that everybody wants to make loads of money, because that seems to be the most important thing. They all want the fur coat, nobody wants to change the world - and that's the problem. Technology is a great thing because it's opened up the doors for people, but when you hear things it's just, 'It's the new this, it's the new version of that' and it's just like, 'Yawn,'" he told BANG Showbiz, speaking at the Ivor Novello awards.

John Mayer Regrets Jessica Simpson Comments

John Mayer regrets describing Jessica Simpson as "sexual napalm."
The singer-and-songwriter dated the blonde beauty for nine months between 2006 and 2007 and in 2010 gave an interview describing what Jessica was like in bed.
However, he now says he regrets the comments but he admits he did it to make himself look more exciting: "I had nothing to say. I was going through a time in my life where I didn't really want to share what was going on, but I didn't want to be boring. When you're just open, but not honest, then you start free-associating garbage. It doesn't mean I can go back and scrub it out, but I understand it now."
During the interview for Playboy magazine, John said of Jessica, "Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me. Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm."
Jessica - who gave birth to her first child, daughter Maxwell Drew, with fiance Eric Johnson on May 1 - slammed John for making the comments saying they were inappropriate. "I don't want people to know how I am in bed!" she added.

Will Smith slapped a reporter at the premiere of his new movie in Russia.
The 43-year-old Men In Black 3 actor - who is married to Jada Pinkett Smith - slapped the male journalist across the face after he made two attempts to kiss him.
Ukrainian television joker Vitalii Sediuk made a play for Will as he went to interview him for his TV show. However Vitalii's tries at locking lips with the screen star failed when the "Summertime" rapper managed to make several turns with his head at the same time as being gripped in a hug.
"Hey man, what the hell is your problem?" an angry Will told the prankster.
After slapping him and moving on down the line of press members, he later laughed the incident off.

Justin Bieber Graduates from High School
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Child Stars, Features,
Justin Bieber has graduated from high school.
The "Boyfriend" singer continued his studies away from a normal educational facility while touring the world, but is delighted to now be free of extra learning.
"I just finished high school. I passed my test - I'm free! It was hard doing school and work every day," he said.
Although Justin would have been happy to give up his education, his mother Patti preferred he stuck to it: "School was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her. I mean, this kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I've been able to travel the world. At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I'm really not into that stuff. I like to be out there!"
He would now not want to give up his career because of other people and does what he wants to, when he wants to. "Here's the thing, I'm my own person. I don't make my decisions based around what people are going to think of me. I make them based on what I want to do and who I think I want to be. If none of this was happening, if there were no cameras around me, that's the kind of person I'd want to be - a good person," he added.
Freida Pinto: Fame Was Almost Too Much for Me
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Freida Pinto says fame was "almost too much" for her.
The 27-year-old actress admits she nearly couldn't come to terms with being a celebrity after starring in 2008 movie Slumdog Millionaire, and the brunette beauty felt her co-star and boyfriend Dev Patel was the only person who "truly understood" what she was going through.
"If I needed to talk to someone about what happened, he was the only one who knew what was going on. It was nice to have those moments and that experience together. It took a while to accept what had happened. As much as I was happy with what was going on, it was almost too much to take in for somebody who'd never experienced any of that before. Surrounding myself with good people such as family and close friends helped me keep my head on my shoulders. That said, the one thing I knew was I had to seize the moment and strike while the iron was hot."

Damon Albarn Finds His Opera Hard to Explain

Damon Albarn worries people think he has "lost it."
The Blur frontman is currently focused on his Dr. Dee project - a play and accompanying album of folk opera inspired by Elizabethan mathematician Dr. John Dee - and admit she is "nervous" about the response to the music
because it is very different to his previous work.
"It's not an easy listen and it's not an easy thing to talk about. That's what's making me really nervous at the moment. I want to be enthusiastic about it and explain, but the language you have to inevitably use to explain a record like this, in the modern idiom - especially in pop music - just looks completely mad. It looks like I've completely lost it."

Michael Fassbender ‘Seduced’ by Cash
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Michael Fassbender admits he gets "seduced" by money.
The Shame actor has to "keep an eye" on himself to ensure he doesn't get greedy or obsessing about himself and his own brilliance.
There's no point thinking, 'Well my life's certainly worked out, I've got all the answers.' It would be wrong for me to say that I don't get seduced by certain things. That things don't become tempting. Like, you know, money. How much money does one need? Let's start with that, that's a pretty good one. So that, you know. Greed, things like that. Vanity, believing the hype. You have to keep an eye on those things."
Michael believes the best way to stay grounded is to keep a "simple" lifestyle and always associate with the same group of friends: "There's another side of me that's very simple. I keep my lifestyle pretty simple and my possessions are pretty simple. I don't have a very complicated bank balance, but that's not the only thing. How does anyone do it? You make sure you've got a good network of friends, I like to hang around with good people and work with good people."
