Robert Pattinson Wants to Be Brave
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Robert Pattinson's life mantra is "don't be a pu**y."
The 26-year-old actor - who is dating his Twilight Saga co-star Kristen Stewart - has always been really "scared" about his career but is trying to be more daring with his choices as he ages.
"[My life mantra is] don't be a pu**y. Basically, that's the best thing you can ever think. I've had so many occasions in my life where I've acted like a pu**y and regretted it. Have you seen that Mike Tyson documentary? That bit where he says he'd defeated the guy before he's walked into the ring, it's the same thing. With acting, I was always so scared. But you get to the point where you realize it doesn't matter."
The decision to be braver led him star as a billionaire playboy in new movie Cosmopolis, but he admits it is still a struggle for him to always feel completely comfortable: "Oh man, I was terrified on Cosmopolis. There was a sex scene and I was cringing. The girl was really comfortable with her clothes off - and I'm not. She took all her clothes off and I was just sitting there going, 'Um, I haven't got my 'ball-sack' on.' F**king amazing."

Victoria Beckham is Happy, Despite Her Expressions

Victoria Beckham knows she doesn't appear happy in pictures.
The fashion designer - who is married to soccer star David Beckham - is famous for looking demure and hardly smiling for photographs, but insists she is happy in her daily life.
"Yes, I created this persona and I'm very different from that. I don't feel like I have to scream and shout about it - I know I am a happy person. So I don't get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time. But people think I am. And you know, sometimes I think the same thing when I look at the pictures."
Victoria, 38, has plenty to be happy about, with the four children she raises with David - Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven and ten-month-old daughter Harper - and her successful, self-titled fashion line.

Metallica Can’t Afford a Break

Metallica can't afford to take time off.
The "Enter Sandman" hitmakers - who earn a reported $90 million from their tours - claim the music industry has changed so much, they are no longer able to take two years off work in between recording sessions. "The cycles of taking two years off don't exist anymore. We were able to do that because we had record royalties coming in consistently. Now you put out an album, and you have a windfall maybe once or twice but not the way it used to be - a check every three months," guitarist Kirk Hammett told Rolling Stone.

Shirley Manson ‘Tortured’ Over Beauty
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Shirley Manson used to "torture" herself for not being pretty enough.
The Garbage frontwoman - who is renowned for her unusual look - admits it took her time to learn to accept herself but now does not think about it and has a dismissive attitude.
"I used to torture myself because I thought I wasn't pretty enough, I wasn't young enough, I wasn't this or that enough. Now I'm like, 'F**k it.' I don't want to pay that price and pretend I'm something I'm not," she told Nylon.
The 45-year-old star recently admitted her band - made up of herself, Butch Vig, Steve Market and Duke Erikson - were the "weirdest looking cats" around: "There was a lot of queerness about my band. Are you kidding? We are the oldest, weirdest-looking cats out there, we look so f***ing bizarre. I always used to be a little ashamed that we were older; that we weren't beautiful and young and cool and wearing super-cool clothes. There was a feeling of, 'Oh I wished we looked like The Clash.' This time around, I love how much my band look. I think we look like the cast from a French movie. It's about self acceptance."
‘Cross Dresser’ Florence Welch
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities,
Florence Welch was "a cross dresser" at the start of her career.
The Florence + the Machine singer used to wear all her male bandmates' clothes when they were first out on the road together, but insists it was only because she was too lazy to find female garments to wear.
"I was like a cross-dresser but really it was just out of laziness. At times I looked like a cross between Annie Hall and [TV presenter] Bruce Forsyth. I went through a period of a couple of years when I'd wear just anything. I was on the road with boys in the band and I'd just wear all their clothes. I'd grab a pair of their trousers and throw one of their shirts on. It never incurred to me it was odd or I may have looked strange. I was getting around on a bike and it was just easy," she told The Sun.
When her career took off, Florence then started spending her pay checks on vintage clothes and establishing her current unique style.

Christian Louboutin Puts Sexiness First
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers,
Christian Louboutin's design priority is sexiness.
The famed shoe designer insists he doesn't set out to create "painful" footwear but admits beauty and sexiness are his main considerations in his work.
"People say I am the king of painful shoes. I don't want to create painful shoes, but it is not my job to create something comfortable. I try to make high heels as comfortable as they can be, but my priority is design, beauty and sexiness. I'm not against them, but comfort is not my focus."
This year, Christian is celebrating 20 years in fashion and says his greatest career moment was creating the shoes worn at the finale of Yves Saint Laurent's final couture show - the only time the late designer ever collaborated with someone else: "I created those shoes just because I wanted to and I gave them to my dear friend Loulou de la Falaise. She wore them in front of Saint Laurent and he loved them and used them in his finale. When he was alive, he really was our biggest creative - it was such an honor."

Arnold Schwarzenegger Tried ‘Too Hard’ to Work with Stallone
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, Thrillers, Casting, Celeb News,
Arnold Schwarzenegger thinks he tried "too hard" to work alongside Sylvester Stallone in the past.
The Terminator star and the Rocky actor - who teamed up for action movie The Expendables in 2010 - are reuniting for forthcoming action-thriller The Tomb, and Arnold believes it is now an ideal time to collaborate with Sylvester.
"We worked really well together. The funny thing is we have tried, I think, our entire careers to always work together. We have talked about it for three decades and it never happened. I think we tried maybe too hard ... But now after the governorship, somehow this just fell into place," the 64 year-old former Governor of California said.
Sylvester admits the pair were "competitive" when they started their respective acting careers, but they have both now realized that teaming up with one another is beneficial: "We're just a couple of old war horses talking about the oddest subjects on the planet. I think in the beginning we were competitive - there's no question about it. A little alpha territorial. And then we realized it was good for our careers [to work together]."

The "E.T." hitmaker releases her 3-D concert film Katy Perry: Part Of Me in July and has promised the project - which combines concert footage with her everyday life, including intimate details of her split from husband Russell Brand - will show her fans who she really is.
"A lot of people have a lot of ideas about me, but this is a film that I made for myself, for my fans ... so that they can get the all-access pass. And I've never been this revealing," she said.
