Bobby Brown Surprised by Whitney’s Drug Taking
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Drugs, Obituaries,
Bobby Brown had no idea Whitney Houston was taking drugs before she died.
The 48-year-old singer died in Beverly Hills in February from accidental drowning caused by cocaine use and heart failure, and although her former husband Bobby has been widely blamed for introducing her to illegal substances, he claims he has been clean for seven years and was shocked to discover Whitney was still taking drugs.
"It's just unexplainable .. how one could, you know, (say that I) got her addicted to drugs. I'm not the reason she's gone. I was hurt. I was hurt ... because, you know, me being off of narcotics for the last seven years, I felt that she was, you know, I didn't know she was struggling with it still. But at the same time, you know, listen, it's a hard fight. It's a hard fight to, you know, maintain sobriety that way," he told Today's Matt Lauer.
It was claimed after Whitney's death that she and Bobby had been planning to remarry in Las Vegas. Whitney had apparently wanted to reunite with her former husband of 14 years and the pair had decided on an intimate ceremony with their daughter Bobbi Kristina as the only witness.

Alyson Hannigan didn't rush into marriage on her mother's advice.
The American Reunion star has been wed to actor Alexis Denisof - whom she met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - since October 2003 but she wait until they had been in a relationship for four years before saying her vows. Alyson was raised by her mother Emilie Posner after she and her father Al Hannigan divorced and her Emile also told her not to marry in hast like she did.
"My mom, Emilie, always taught me to think hard about marriage. Her own, to my father, ended when I was two. So she said, 'Take your time.' I met Alex, who played Wesley Wyndam-Pryce in the series (Buffy), and it was flirtation at first sight! I was trying to pursue him, but he said he didn't want to date somebody he was working with. But we developed a great friendship ... When my new relationship ran its course, the whole thing suddenly changed and Alex and I started to really care about each other. So it was two years before we started seeing each other and that was back in 1999. I took my mom's advice and thought really hard about the whole thing - and didn't marry until I was nearly 30."

Daniel Craig says James Bond is "out of his comfort zone" and pushed to his limits in new movie Skyfall.
The actor returns as the iconic British spy in the upcoming film and he promises 007 fans the character is tested even more than he was in his previous films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
"He's always out of his f***ing comfort zone! Hanging off the top of some kind of structure somewhere, I don't know how comfortable that ever is. I know for me how uncomfortable it is, pushing him, I think, is the best way to describe it. We're just pushing the characters, physically and emotionally, as far as we can in the context of a Bond movie," he told Empire.
Although very little is known about the plot of the film, it sees Bond pitted against bad guy Silva, played by Javier Bardem, who was very happy with the role director Sam Mendes has given him to play: "The material is great and the story very powerful and complex. Sam gave me a version of Silva and I was like, 'Hmmm, that's very interesting, this is gonna be fun.' As I say, there is meat to chew."

And he knows a date is going well when it ends up going on longer than planned ... and you don't even realize it. You don't want it to end."
Adam Brody Isn’t a Ladies’ Man
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Hook-ups,
Adam Brody is not a smooth womanizer. The former O.C. star plays ladies' man Charlie Walker in new college movie Damsels in Distress, but insists he is nothing like his alter-ego as he would never be able to pull his cool moves off in real life.
"I haven't ever bought drinks for a stranger and sent them across the bar by way of introduction," he said.
However, Adam, 32, says his character is not as confident as he appears and actually has a lot of insecurities. "I think to a certain degree Charlie is intellectual and he is certainly striving to better himself. But at the same time, he's a bit insecure about his actual standing in life and where he's going. He's probably insecure about a lot of things and I can certainly relate to that. I can't really say if I'm intellectual or the opposite," he said in an interview with The Independent.
Christian Louboutin’s Heel Inspiration
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers,
Christian Louboutin decided to become a shoe designer after he saw a sign banning high heels.
The iconic footwear maker says he was inspired to create elaborate heels because dancers were forced to wear flats at the Museum of African and Oceanic Art: "I'd already decided I wanted to design shoes after I saw a sign in the Museum of African and Oceanic Art forbidding high heels. Well, who could resist?"
He then rang the Folies (the French music hall) and announced that he wanted to design shoes for the dancers. "Not that I ever designed a single shoe for them. But I got them coffee - and veal. So much veal. I couldn't work out how they could eat it all. It turned out they were using it to pad their shoes to make them more comfortable," he added.
Christian is famed for the red soles of his shoes but admits his trademark happened by chance: "This shoe arrived back from the factory but for some reason it didn't look quite as good as my sketch. So I used a bottle of red polish to coat the underside of the shoe scarlet. Problem solved.''
Avril Lavigne Uses Food to Forget Pop
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Alternative, Pop,
Avril Lavigne cooks to forget the pressures of her music career. The 27-year-old singer's favorite ways to relax and take her mind off her pop star lifestyle are spending time in her kitchen making food for other people and channeling her creativity into painting.
"I love to paint huge abstract canvases and hang them up in my house. I don't watch much TV but I love to cook. I cook as much as I can. When I'm home I cook all the time and when I'm on tour I cook for my band on the bus. It makes me happy."
When she is cooking, Avril loves to accompany her food with a glass of red wine, and there is a particular bottle she is desperate to try, but thinks it is too expensive: "I like to drink red wine. One bottle of wine I'd love to try is Californian red Screaming Eagle. The problem is it costs $5,000."
Despite her quiet habits, Avril insists she is still a "rock star." She added, "Put it this way, there's a reason why I tattooed 'f**k' on my ribcage. It is and always will be one of my favorite words. Seriously. I am a rock star. F**k it."

Heidi Klum describes the end of her marriage as a "curveball."
The supermodel and singer Seal split in January after seven years of marriage, and Heidi is still figuring out how to adjust to the changes in her life.
"Sometimes life throws you a curveball, and then you just figure it out and deal with it, but my dream always was that - to have the perfect family and have lots of children and a beautiful garden and trampolines and swings and things. I had dreams of how I wanted things to be and planned for things and, as we all know today, they don't always turn out as you dreamt them in your head," she told Allure.
Heidi - who raises children Leni, seven, Henry, six, Johan, five, and two-year-old Lou with Seal - added she doesn't feel any resent about the split, which her former husband has said was caused by them growing apart: "I don't resent anything that ever happened. Things just turn out the way they turn out."
Johnny Marr Thinks About Reuniting The Smiths
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Reunions, Rock,
Johnny Marr thinks about "how great it would be" to reunite The Smiths.
The "Panic" band split in 1987, shortly after guitarist Johnny left the group, and while relations between himself and singer Morrissey have never been repaired, he knows how well a reunion by the band would be received.
"I don't know about the possibility of reuniting, but what I do know is that I understand how great it would be to make so many people happy. And the other thing I know is that Morrissey and I are so very different. Those are the only things I know," he told Rolling Stone.
Johnny defended his actions in leaving the group, saying it was inevitable that it would happen at some point: "I was the lookout saying, 'Rocks ahead! Rocks ahead!' I had the foresight to see disaster looming - both for the individuals, personally, and the band, professionally. I had a lot of insight and wisdom for a 23-year-old."

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television, Engagements,
Joel Madden asked Nicole Richie to marry him 10 times before she said yes. The Good Charlotte rocker has confessed his wife repeatedly spurned his proposals before finally agreeing to the knot with him in February 2010.
"My wife is pretty good at rejecting me. People don't know this but I asked her to marry me ten times before she actually said yes. I was asking every other Tuesday," he revealed in an interview during an appearance on an Australian radio show.
"What made that tenth one different? How did she break? What did you bring out that was different?" the radio host asked.
"I pulled out the kids! I said, 'Do you really wanna do this to these kids?' I'm just kidding. I'm passive aggressive," he answered.
The 33-year-old musician has two children, daughter Harlow, four, and two-year-old Sparrow, with Nicole, 30. Joel was recently announced as one of the four coaches on the Australian version of pop star search TV show The Voice.
