- ABC‘s coverage of the Scripps National Spelling Bee (1.1/4) had 4.6 million biting their nails.
- Most Outrageous Moments* (4.4 million, 1.1/5) was off track by 500,000.
- Friday Night Smackdown (3.7 million, 1.1/4) roped in 400,000 more.
- FOX‘s Little Black Book (2.5 million, 0.9/3) saw 1.5 million less than last week’s movie.

- The Price is Right (7.9 million, 1.5/5) rounded up another 200,000.
- Wife Swap (2.1/7) settled in with 5.8 million.
- NBC‘s coverage of the Stanley Cup finals (2.0/6) had 4.6 million cheering.
- Farmer Wants a Wife (1.0/3) averaged 2.8 million over two hours.

Monday Ratings: American Gladiators Still Weak

Despite the lack of new episodes, American Gladiators was still fairly unimpressive. Although the program showed improvement, it was overpowered by comedic repeats. In the end, CBS swept the night in both the viewers and the demos.

- The Big Bang Theory* (6.4 million, 2.0/6 in 18-49) was down a million; How I Met Your Mother* (6.7 million, 2.3/7) scraped off 1.2 million.
- American Gladiators (5.2 million, 1.9/5) picked up another 1.2 million.
- A So You Think You Can Dance* repeat (1.8/5) attracted 4.9 million.
- Approximately 4.7 million lived vicariously through Vacation Swap* (1.5/4).
- Gossip Girl* (1.4 million, 0.6/2) slid by 1.6 million.

- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition* (5.1 million, 1.4/6) plummeted by 6.1 million.
- Dateline (0.8/3) had 4.2 million tuning in.
- Everybody Hates Chris* (916,000, 0.4/1) slipped by nearly 500,000; Aliens in America* (897,000, 0.3/1) was off by 300,000.

- FOX‘s Cheaper by the Dozen (4 million, 1.4/5) did 1.2 million better than last week’s airing of Dodgeball.
- A Grey’s Anatomy* block (1.2/5) roped in 3.9 million.
- Friday Night Smackdown (3.3 million, 1.2/4) fell by 700,000.

Thursday Ratings: ABC Finales End on High Note

Even though Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy have seen better scores for their finales (this year was their lowest ever), both shows got their best post-strike numbers. Grey’s even turned out the highest 18-49 performance for any scripted drama in nearly three months.

- A 90-minute Deal or No Deal (10.3 million, 2.5/8 in 18-49) was the winner of its hour.
- So You Think You Can Dance? (3.4/10 in 18-49) debuted to 8.6 million.
- Approximately 8.8 million saw Lindsay Lohan torment Ugly Betty (2.8/9).
- The Big Bang Theory* (1.2/4) pulled in 4.3 million for its special Thursday airing; How I Met Your Mother* (4.5 million, 1.5/5) did slightly better.
- Smallville* (2.2 million, 0.7/2) was down 1.6 million from last week.

- The Price is Right (7.7 million, 1.8/5 in 18-49) improved by 400,000 from last week.
- A block of Law & Order* repeats (1.3/4) settled in at 5.2 million.
- Lost* averaged 3.1 million (1.0/3) over two hours.
- Back-to-back episodes of Farmer Wants a Wife* (0.6/2) was far behind at 1.6 million.

Last night’s Battle of the Davids brought monster-sized numbers to FOX. American Idol‘s final showdown actually improved upon last year’s finale. Meanwhile, Dancing with the Stars drew a lot of interest in the later half of the evening.

- American Idol (27.1 million, 10.1/28 in 18-49) was up from last year’s 25.3 million.
- NCIS’ two-hour finale (3.4/9) took in a respectable 16.5 million.
- A Dancing with the Stars* recap (8.9 million, 1.9/5) doubled According to Jim‘s numbers.
- Most Outrageous Moments (4 million, 1.4/4) did the same as before.
- A Reaper* repeat (1.8 million, 0.8/2) did 300,000 better than Beauty and the Geek.

- Bones (3.3/10) hit a season high with 10.2 million.
- The Big Bang Theory (7.4 million, 2.7/8) lost 500,000; How I Met Your Mother (7.9 million, 3.2/9) slipped by 1.1 million.
- American Gladiators (4 million, 1.6/4) fell by 900,000.
- Gossip Girl (1.4/4) ended its season with 3 million.
