Teardrop MP3 speaker

There are already a number of water-resistant docks and speakers out there. But this is the coolest-looking one we’ve seen in quite awhile. It’s the TearDrop iPod Water-Resistant Bathroom Speaker. Shaped as…yep…a teardrop, the speaker holds any MP3 player smaller than 2.55W” x 4.17H” x .78D” (or, in iPod-speak, the nano or shuffle). Futuristic-yet-mod-looking for all-around coolness, and there’s a built-in headphone jack for personal use. Plus, the speaker is battery-operated, so you can show it off outdoors. Unfortunately, the website doesn’t indicate which type of battery, or how many. Available in 3 colors, for $58 USD.

Whatever your next important (or unimportant) event is, here’s a fun clock to help you remember: it’s the Lifetimer clock, which actually counts down the days, minutes and seconds till the event of your choice! Projection TelephoneDon’t want to get out of bed to find who is calling at an ungodly hour? You need the Projection Telephone. CastlightWe have found that during a power outage, we have as much trouble finding a working flashlight as we do rounding up stray candles to find the flashlight. David Weeks of Kikkerland has designed a combo candle holder for almost any emergency. At a size of 11 4 x 4.5 x 4.5-inches, the bottom of the Castlight features an LED flashlight that uses 3AA batteries. Available in moss, stone, and brick colors, its cost is $40.00. Perhaps now all we will have to do is use this to find the extra batteries in the dark.

Rock 'em Sock 'em OrnamentStar Trek II Ornament

Last minute tree trimming at our house usually consists of popcorn strings until the dog eats them. We wish we had gotten a Hallmark Keepsake Rock ’em Sock ’em Ornament. At least we would have had a fighting chance. At a size of 3 1/4 x 2 3/4-inches, push their buttons and their arms punch and heads bounce just like their life-size counterparts. It comes with a greeting card for $15.00.

For your trekkor friends, pick up the Star Trek II Keepsake. This one is 3 x 2 1/2-inches, has sound and flashing lights, and will set you back $28.00. We expect that if you wait (since it is probably closed today,) you can pick one up for sale when you return that cheesy Nut Bowl that your mother-in-law found at the back of the store in the markdown aisle.

Solar Altoid LightsWe have shown you other stuff made with Altoids tins, and for those of you who have a few mints, some LED Christmas tree lights, and a solar garden light, you can come up with a string of lights just in case your power goes off today. Costing about $10.00, Wheelgirl placed the photo sensor of the garden light into the Altoids box and attached the lights. By the way, the device is intelligent enough to store power in its rechargeable battery when not needed.

Cocktail Cyclone

Similar to the Automatic Martini Shaker we recently wrote about the Cyclone Cocktail Shaker promises to provide some flashy automation for the mixing of your favorite drink. The Cyclone Cocktail Shaker creates a maelstrom of ingredients as it blends your drink of choice in it’s clear mixing container. Mixing up to 16-ounces at a time this acrylic and stainless steel device combines form and function into a single sleek package. At the $15 price point the motor can’t possibly be up for properly blending with ice so liquors and mixers should be pre-chilled, but that aside this looks to be a great conversation piece for any geeks wet bar.
