Halloween is rapidly approaching so we are scouring the Net to find the best ways to creep out your friends, neighbors, and, most importantly, those brats down the street that wake you at dawn on Saturday. How about this 9 foot tall Freak Tank that contains a floating Siamese Twin corpse suspended in a fog run by motor? We like that the company, Haunted Ventures, specializes in finding hard-to-get items for its customers. What we don’t like is the $2,200.00 price tag (with shipping) that doesn’t include a sound track. We think we will wait for a smaller version since those kids are fairly young and scare easily.

Crown 7 is someone’s idea of an electric cigarette that prevents second-hand smoke. Nicotine cartridges and water create “smoke” that is supposed to be equal to a regular cigarette in its effect. It is also available in a cigar and pipe model and comes with a recharger, 2 lithium batteries, and 2 replacement filters. Additional cartridges cost $10.00 each. For $99.95 and no explanation of the equivalency to a normal cig, we offer another alternative to keeping away second-hand smoke. We call it opening a window.

We adore sushi, but it is quite an expensive treat. Bandai Namco has the answer with its Automatic Sushi Roller. Place seaweed, rice, seafood, and veggies in the orange machine. Turn the rollers and you are all set to impress your dinner guests. This device seems to be based on the age-old cigarette rollers that never worked quite right. By the way, we just have one nit to pick. It’s not automatic if you have to turn the thing yourself. The gadget is available from Bandai for 2940 Yen (~$25.00.)

Is it me, or is looking at this item making you think of endless R-rated jokes? Anyway, it’s not what you think it is (whatever that may be). It’s the Banana Guard, a storage case that protects the vulnerable, potassium-rich fruit from bruises and smushing. Similar to the Hear Now that we introduced you to last fall, PetsMobility’s PetsCell is a waterproof GPS tracker that will notify you when your furry friend steps outside a pre-programmed area. In addition, the collar has a built-in cell phone so that you can chat with your pooch, or for others to contact you should your dog stray a little too far from home. The company also features PawTrax, an online system to track your pooch via the Internet that includes a sensor to keep track of the temperature surrounding your pet.
