Yukyng has unveiled their viliv X7 GPS DMB that runs on AU1250 600MHz CPU and supports TPEG/DMB. It features a 7-inch, 600 x 480 touchscreen as well as a cam and has image and text viewing capability. It holds up to 4GB storage that can expand to 8GB with an additional SDHC card. But the part we like best is the ability to connect to karaoke, so that if you manage to get lost, you can always sing until someone finds you and tells you to shut up. Sooloos Takes On Entire Music Libraries

The Sooloos Music System has been in development for a while and is finally being released. The touch control device with 17-inch screen and intuitive graphical interface can handle from 2,000 to 6,000 albums, and includes information on genre, performer, and high-res cover art. It is expandable up to 3TB to allow for enough CDs to start your own radio station. Its circuitry is the same as used by professional studios and pre-recorded music packages are also available. Look for Soolos at the CES 2008 in January for its grand unveiling.

While we are on the subject of Elvis, we figure if you cannot afford the car, you can still have a piece of him with the Singing Mug. Light activated, lift it up and it starts crooning “Love Me Tender.” While we would much rather wake up to The Stones singing “Mother’s Little Helper,” this is at least a start and may give someone an entrepreneurial idea. A bit pricey at $71.00, it has an on/off switch when you have had your fill of caffeine and the King.

Nokia has announced its new 6263 available through T-Mobile. The clamshell has a 2.2-inch, 16 million color QVGA display, an XHTML brower that can handle your e-mail, support for Java, Flash Lite and Bluetooth, and can be synced to your computer with its PC Suite software. It also features a 1.3 megapixel cam with video recorder, an FM tuner, and can hold up to 350 music tracks with its 512MB memory. The 6263 has a battery that can handle up to 3 1/3 hours of talk time or over 11 days of standby.

Many were anticipating that the short and stubby iPod nano would be a disappointment when the rumors of the device were running rampant. Once Steve Jobs introduced it, all fears were quelled. Just get one into your hands, and you will no longer be a skeptic. The 2-inch screen obviously isn’t the best for watching full-length movies, but for music videos and the like, it’s worthy. If you are all about the audio, the nano holds up to 8 GB worth of data. It’s thin (0.3 inches), the screen is fantastic, and the battery lasts for 26 hours. Just stay away from Cover Flow on this one - it’s sluggish.

Creative has finally released its 32 GB ZEN PMP. The company says it will store up to 8,000 tunes in MP3, WMA, Audible 2, 3, 4 and AAC by pay-per-download or subscription. It is also compatible with iTunes and features an FM tuner and voice recording. It will handle WMV9, MJPEG, MPEG4-SP, DivX 4/5 and XviD videos and boasts a 2.5-inch TFT display with 16.7 million color support. The Zen should be good for up to 30 hours of music or 5 video with its Li-ion battery and its memory can be expanded with SD cards. Check with Creative for a price and availability near you.
