Jake Gyllenhaal with sister Maggie and her husband and daughterJake Gyllenhaal loves being an uncle.

The actor is besotted with sister Maggie Gyllenhaal's two daughters, Ramona, six, and three-month-old Gloria, and describes the girls as "extraordinary."

"They are the best thing that happened to my family probably ever," he added.

Jake, 31, admits he can see similarities between Ramona and Gloria and him and 34-year-old Maggie when they were growing up: "It's a similar dynamic between me and my sister to this day. I think we are each other's toughest critics, but we also, I think, love each other's work more than anyone else. Even at this age, my older niece will come up to her [sister] and joke to her, and she'll laugh and then she'll run away and she starts to cry."

Nicole Richie and her daughterNicole Richie wants her children to have "stability."

The 30-year-old designer spent a lot of time on the road with her father Lionel Richie when she was growing up but wants Harlow, four, and three-year-old Sparrow - her kids with rocker husband Joel Madden - to spend most of their time at home.

"One of the biggest differences in the way I'm raising my kids versus the way I was raised is that I was on tour a lot. I don't really do that with my kids. It's important to me that they have stability. I like them to be home," she said.

However, Nicole - who has previously battled drug addiction - insists there was nothing "wrong" with the way she was raised by Lionel and her mother Brenda. "I was taken out of school and had tutors. By the time my father went onstage, I was asleep. There's no right or wrong way to raise a family. Look, I don't know anyone who can say they don't just try and do the best that they can do," she added.

Carey Hart and Pink with their daughter WillowPink is ready to have another baby. The 33-year-old singer is desperate for a sibling for her 15-month-old daughter Willow but knows now isn't the right time to get pregnant again as she is due to begin a tour in support of her new album The Truth About Love in February 2013.

Pink - who is married to motocross star Carey Hart - said, "I mean if I weren't going, getting ready to go on tour, I'd be pregnant. I'm barefoot and pregnant in my garden with an attitude."

Although she wants another baby, Pink admitted her last pregnancy made her full of "rage," comparing her experience to the horror movie 28 Days Later: "They were infected with the rage virus and that's what I had. I didn't battle morning sickness, I didn't have cravings. I had rage!''

Pink and her daughterPink thinks life is "harder" if you have a "vagina."

The "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" singer hopes her 15-month-old daughter Willow - her child with husband Carey Hart - will grow up to be a talented and valued individual, but believes it will be tougher for her because she is a girl.

"If she rebels, she'll listen to opera and hate tattoos. If she has talent, I'd be cool with it. This world is way too cruel if you're not talented. That's why I didn't get lost in the sauce. And it's harder if you have a vagina. An ambitious man is admirable and respected. An ambitious woman is difficult and emotional. There's a boys' club, even in music. You have to think before you talk. I can be loud, but I've learned you can have quiet power," she told USA Today.

Despite the problems she knows her child may face, Pink would love more kids and have a big family because she knows then at least one of her kids will like her:

Tori SpellingTori Spelling was rushed to hospital on Saturday due to complications from her recent caesarean section.

The former Beverly Hills 90210 actress gave birth to her fourth child, Finn Davy on August 30 via C-section, as she did with her other three kids, and had to undergo emergency surgery as a result. "Tori underwent emergency surgery over the weekend due to complications from her C-section. She remains in the hospital and is resting comfortably," her spokesperson told People.

Tori recently revealed she is considering adoption in the future as while she would love more children with her husband Dean McDermott, she doesn't want to put her body through any more trauma: "I never say never but I think this is our last. I want to focus on the kids I have now and I don't want to spread myself too thin. I've had C-sections with each baby. It puts the body through trauma. I don't think I could do it again. [But] I'm all for adoption. It's such an amazing blessing and we would totally do it. My friends adopted my goddaughter Simone who's two and having seen the process through their eyes, I'm definitely a believer."

Natalie Portman and AlephNatalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied took their son on their honeymoon because they would have missed him too much to leave him behind.

The couple jetted out to Turks and Caicos in the West Indies at the beginning of the month for a romantic break but couldn't leave 15-month-old son Aleph behind. "This break was very precious to them, even though it was brief. It's typical of them - even their honeymoon was a whirlwind. They used the time to be together. No work, no business calls. Natalie and Ben are the hardest working people. Even before the baby came along, they were non-stop so you can imagine how exhausted they've been since Aleph was born," a source said.

The happy family blended in with other holiday makers and spent most of their time playing and relaxing on the beach. "They made silly faces to make Aleph laugh and they all looked like they couldn't have been happier. Natalie and Benjamin enjoyed a romantic moment as they headed out towards the horizon together. They just kept kissing and looked really in love," said the insider.

Halle Berry and her daughterGabriel Aubrey's lawyer will almost certainly use the publication of the Kate Middleton topless photographs in his case to keep his and Halle Berry's daughter in America.

The actress is hoping to move to France with Nahla, four, with her actor fiance Olivier Martinez; however her case could be harmed if her model ex uses the new press issue in his argument, according to website TMZ.com. Halle's legal representative has been trying to convince the judge in her custody battle that their child is better off living in France with her mother because the paparazzi are more respectful of celebrities.

Gabriel was already using the paparazzi chasing Princess Diana to her death in 1997 as a reason she would not benefit from the relocation. Now Gabriel's lawyers could mention the images taken of the Duchess of Cambridge, which were achieved by an intrusive photographer who apparently used a telephoto lens to capture intimate shots of her on a secluded balcony.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck with their daughterBen Affleck is "not very present" with his family.

The Town actor admits his wife Jennifer Garner does "everything" with their children Violet, six, Seraphina, three and six-month-old Samuel because he is often not around, but does try and do things with them whenever he can.

"I am not very present in the rest of my life. My wife's very patient. She does everything. If I have time, I try to spend time with my kids, even if just to be a physical presence, the bath, whatever."

However, the 40-year-old star does not believe he could be a full-time stay-at-home father because he loves his work too much. "I don't want to be a stay-at-home dad. Work is very important to me. I like to work. But I need my work to mean something to me in order for me to not be home with them," he said.
