This thing is snowballing completely out of control. Tiger Woods is one of the world’s top-grossing athletes, respected in his sport as the best at the game. He is also the latest tabloid obsession, and everyone’s getting in on the action.

Rachel Uchitel, who was first alleged to be the golfer’s mistress, initially denied all media reports that she and Woods had an affair. Now, two other women have been named as having private encounters with Tiger…and Uchitel has changed her story.

TMZ reports that Uchitel now says she did have an affair with Woods, and it was she who was text-messaging with the golfer the night of his accident. Allegedly, Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren asked about the messages and then called Uchitel on the phone. This led to an altercation between Woods and his wife, which led to damage inside the couple’s home.

Rachel Uchitel, who is now represented by celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, scheduled a press conference to talk about these events and perhaps more, but it was mysteriously canceled. Wonder what happened to suddenly shut her up?
