After the media fallout which ensued when Perez Hilton posted a controversial photograph of pop Princess Miley Cyrus, the popular blogger has responded predictably: with heavy flippancy. In the video above, Perez addresses the firestorm that began when he posted a photo of Cyrus exiting a car.

The photo may or may not have shown Miley’s most private region - which means the Perez post may or may not be guilty the felony offense of distributing child pornography. We know, we know - she acts like she’s 27. But Miley’s still sweet 17, and any naked pictures of her are hugely, completely off-limits for bloggers and the like.

In the video, Perez Hilton makes no attempt to take the criticism seriously (not that we expected otherwise). “I’m here wearing my fake fur to address a fake controversy,” he announces at the beginning of the speech. “Seems like the whole world is thinking I posted a photo of Miley’s vagina without underwear on. Do you think Miley [Cyrus] is that stupid?”

No comment.

“Sure I like to be controversial…but I don’t wanna go to jail,” Hilton exclaimed during his comments. “The reason I posted that photo is because I thought [Cyrus] was exiting that car in a very un-ladylike fashion. And you know, I want to encourage Miley to be ladylike.”

The photo of Miley wearing a short white dress and exiting a vehicle has since been removed from the blogger’s site.
