Ozzy Osbourne Hated Being on ‘The Osbournes’

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Reality, MTV, Features,

Ozzy OsbourneOzzy Osbourne used to hate being on The Osbournes.

The Black Sabbath rocker claims he "never watched one f****ing episode" of his MTV reality show, which ran from 2002 to 2005 and followed his family's antics, from X-rated rows to his wife Sharon's battle with cancer. Now that he isn't being followed by cameras 24/7, Ozzy has vowed to never star on a TV show again and is refusing to make a cameo appearance on The X Factor UK when Sharon returns as a judge this autumn.

"That was a period of my career I'm glad is gone. Sharon's turned into this television person now. She's always saying, 'You're coming on the show, aren't you?' And I'm going, 'No! I hate doing TV!'" he said.

The 64-year-old musician has often spoken out against his wife's obsession with the showbiz lifestyle, claiming he has no interest in living his life in the limelight. "Sharon's obsessed with that showbiz lifestyle. But it's not for me. Leave me out of it. Sharon's always introducing me to people I don't know or want to meet. Sharon got a career out of [The Osbournes] but I'm not interested. I don't like showbiz," he said recently.

Kelly OsbourneKelly Osbourne has landed the lead role in a new cartoon series.

The Fashion Police host has begun working on the animated program, but refused to give details on what the "cool" show is about. "Voiced the first 2 episodes of a new cartoon I play a lead roll in! I wish i could tell you what it is because its so cool #AmazingDay (sic)" she wrote on Twitter.

While Kelly wouldn't disclose the role, it is possible it could be part of a previously-announced venture with her parents Ozzy and Sharon and brother Jack Osbourne.

The family will be turned into animated characters in upcoming series The F'n Osbournes. Created by Canadian animation house Cuppa Coffee Studios, the 20-episode series will be executive produced by Sharon and Jack Osbourne, as well as Adam Shaheen of Cuppa Coffee. "Teaming up with Cuppa Coffee has spawned a great opportunity to produce a unique animated primetime show," Sharon said in a statement at the time.

Osbournes to Make Cartoon Comeback

The Osbourne familyThe Osbourne family are to make a comeback to primetime TV in a cartoon form.

Former Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly will be turned into animated characters in upcoming series The F'n Osbournes. Created by Canadian animation house Cuppa Coffee Studios, the 20-episode series will be executive produced by Sharon and Jack Osbourne, as well as Adam Shaheen of Cuppa Coffee.

"Teaming up with Cuppa Coffee has spawned a great opportunity to produce a unique animated primetime show," Sharon said in a statement.

Jack has previously ruled out appearing in another reality TV show after experiencing four years of his private life being turned into entertainment when he starred in The Osbournes from 2002 to 2006.

"For as long as I live, I will never, ever allow a camera in my house again. After four years of The Osbournes, I felt I'd turned into a talking box of Daz soap powder," he recently said.

Sharon Osbourne Taking a Break From The Talk

Sharon OsbourneSharon Osbourne is taking a break from The Talk to spend more time with her husband. The 58-year-old star insists she is not leaving the discussion program for good, but she will not be on the panel when the show returns after its summer break in September because she wants to be with her spouse, rocker Ozzy Osbourne when he comes off tour.

"I've kept it no secret that I really miss my husband. He'll have been on tour for 18 months by the time it's over. I've spent a lot of time away from him. He gets a break at the end of September and so I've asked for a little break so I can be with him. I don't want to give it up. It's a great, great show. We've all worked really hard over the last year. I'm not going to walk away from that. I just need some real good quality time to be with my hubby."

One reason Sharon wants to return is the close bond she has with co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini: "I'm very close to the women on the show. I didn't think that I would be [because] none of us knew each other going into it. We just didn't know each other socially."

Sharon's close friend, however, America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon thinks The Talk will struggle without her. "She's marvelous. She's the caregiver to us all. She just calms us all down."

Sharon Osbourne Police are officially investigating an incident which occurred on the set of VH1’s Rock of Love Charm School. According to reports, host has been accused of attacking one of the contestants on the show.

That’s not very charming.

A police spokesman had this to say: “We know a battery incident is alleged to have occurred on a taping of a reality show Sharon Osbourne hosts.” Do tell!

So far, there’s no confirmation whether or not a police report has been filed, and reps for Osbourne aren’t commenting on the incident.

The kafuffle is said to have occurred between Osbourne and contestant Megan Hauserman, 26. Evidently, the contestant called Osbourne’s husband, rocker Ozzy Osbourne, a “brain-dead rock star” while on camera. Hauserman was booted from the show early on, but returned for a reunion special.

Strangely enough, Hauserman was expelled from the house for kicking a fellow contestant. Upon booting her, Osbourne said “the one thing I cannot stand is violence.”

American Idol News—Paula, Sanjaya and Ozzy

Sanjaya Malakar The American Idol finale may be behind us (thank god), but that doesn’t stop Idol news from happening. Granted, it’s not as juicy as who’s going to win, but it’s something for fans to feed on until the next edition of the talent show hits the airwaves. First up, Paula Abdul is saying that she has “found her purpose” on Idol: “I knew since I was a little girl that I had this profound way of touching people.” Um, yeah. And those honking paychecks don’t have anything to do with her “purpose” do they? On to Sanjaya—who appeared on the finale with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry (why they gave him the spotlight I still can’t figure out)—was supposed to appear with Ozzy Osbourne. I suppose that would be more of a clash of personality, but Ozzy sobered up and came to his senses, pulling out of the gig at the last minute. An “insider” reported that Osbourne said, “he didn’t want to be onstage with that idiot.” Who knew Ozzy could be so sensible?
