Celebs Turning Down Dancing with the Stars

Kathy GriffinAlthough we’re still weeks away from finding out ’ next lineup, speculation about the latest cast has been growing for months.

Already we’ve heard about Paula Abdul’s interest and Lance Bass’ possible male partner. Just recently Kim Kardashian’s name was even thrown into the mix. And while there are many D-Listers who would kill for a chance to revive their career, there are some D-Listers who apparently don’t want to risk the embarrassment.

In an interview with Extra, comedienne admitted that she had received a “hard offer” to compete on ABC hit. Surprisingly, she doesn’t intend to accept. “No! I can’t even touch my toes!” (Isn’t this the kind of publicity she would normally force her assistants to create?) Meanwhile, a rep for Dan Quayle also confirmed that the former VP had been approached about the show. (He, thankfully, declined the request as well.)

Pauper to Princess

A reality TV producer/director has landed in his own personal episode of . Police say Marc Brilleman, 33, would not let four women leave a central Florida house where his show, Pauper to Princess, was being filmed.

The show, which hasn’t been picked up by any network as of yet, is about ordinary girls hoping to work out their self-esteem, mental and physical problems by becoming “princesses”.

Kim Kardashian Comes to E!

Kim KardashianOut with the old… in with the new. In what can only be considered the lesser of two evils, socialite will be taking over the E! reality show throne now that Paris and Nicole’s show got the axe.  Often seen with pal Paris, Kardashian—who makes headlines for her booty and sex tape—seems like a natural pick for the uninspired reality programming on E! I mean, have you seen Sunset Tan—ugh. On the upside though, I do on occasion watch The Girls Next Door, if only to figure out how the whole Hugh-Hefner-relationship-with-three-women works. The Kardashian show is not yet titled, but is being billed as a family-oriented program, which will be executive-produced by . The show will take a peek at Kardashian’s life as a boutique owner—who knew—and her relationships with sisters Khloe and Kourtney and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie. Mom Kris and step-dad Bruce Jenner will also be along for the ride. According to Seacrest, “At the heart of the series—despite the cat fights and endless sarcasm—is a family that truly loves and supports one another. The familiar dynamics of this family make them one Hollywood bunch that is sure to entertain.” If you say so. This joins the upcoming reality show on E! featuring Snoop Dogg.
