Tatynisa Wilson will sing Rihanna’s “Only Girl in the World,” and that bold choice is only the tip of the iceburg. Naima Adedapo will sing Gershwin’s “Summertime,” but Kendra Chantelle is really going for broke with Christina Aguilera’s “Impossible.” In past Idol seasons, the judges have been unforgiving of those who attempt to sing true “diva” songs... but, it is a whole new show. Rachel Zevita will sing “Criminal” by Fiona Apple, and Karen Rodriguez will bravely attempt Mariah Carey’s “Hero” (yikes).

Lauren Turner plans to sing the Jully Black version of “Seven Day Fool,” Ashton Jones has chosen Monica’s “Love All Over Me” and Julie Zorrilla will attempt Kelly Clarkson’s hit “Breakaway.” Haley Reinhart plans to sing “Fallin” by Alicia Keys, “Out Here On My Own” will be sung by Thia Megia and Lauren Alaina will take on the Reba McEntire hit “Turn on the Radio.” Pia Toscano has scored the sweet spot for the night; she’ll close the show with “I’ll Stand By You,” which seems like a bit of a boring choice.
